PANOBINOSTAT DOSAGES FOR MULTIPLE MYELOMA
Treatment of multiple myeloma with a combination of panobinostat and bortezomib at specified doses adjusted for safety.
1 . A method of treating a human patient having multiple myeloma with panobinostat and a strong CYP3A inhibitor, comprising administering to the patient 10 mg of panobinostat or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof,
wherein the patient is co-administered a strong CYP3A inhibitor.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the strong CYP3A inhibitor is boceprevir, clarithromycin, conivaptan, indinavir, itraconazole, ketoconazole, or lopinavir-ritonavir.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the multiple myeloma is resistant or refractory to one or more prior treatments.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the prior a treatment comprises treatment with bortezomib or an immunomodulatory agent.
5 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the prior treatment comprises a treatment with bortezomib and an immunomodulatory agent.
6 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the prior treatment comprises a treatment with a chemotherapeutic agent.
7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising administering dexamethasone to the patient.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein dexamethasone is administered orally.
9 . The method of claim 7 , wherein dexamethasone is administered at a dosage of 20 mg.
10 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising administering bortezomib to the patient.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein bortezomib is administered by injection.
12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein bortezomib is administered at a dosage of 1.3 mg/m 2 .
13 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising administering dexamethasone and bortezomib to the patient.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein dexamethasone is administered orally and bortezomib is administered by injection.
15 . The method of claim 13 , wherein dexamethasone is administered at a dosage of 20 mg and bortezomib is administered at a dosage of 1.3 mg/m 2 .
