Cassette and apparatus for packing disposable objects into an elongated tube of flexible material
A cassette for dispensing bags from an elongated tubing comprising an annular receptacle accommodating a length of tubing in an accumulated condition. An annular opening at an upper end of the annular receptacle is for dispensing the tubing. The annular receptacle defines a central opening through which a knotted end of the tubing passes to form a bag supported by the annular receptacle with disposable objects passing through the circular central opening to be received in the bag, and a clearance only at a bottom of the central opening.
1. A cassette for use in an apparatus for packing at least one disposable object, comprising:
an annular receptacle defining a central opening, the annular receptacle including a volume receiving a flexible plastic film tubing radially outward of the central opening, the annular receptacle having a wall extending obliquely upward from a lower surface of the annular receptacle, the wall configured to prevent improper orientation of the cassette into the apparatus, an outer wall extending upward from the lower surface of the annular receptacle, the outer wall extending upwardly beyond the wall, the wall delimiting a portion of the volume having a reduced width relative to a portion of the volume above the wall, the annular receptacle having a clearance defined by the wall, the clearance opening into the central opening;
a length of the flexible plastic film tubing disposed in an accumulated condition in the volume of the annular receptacle;
an upper annular opening at an upper end of the annular receptacle, the upper annular opening located over the volume and radially outward of the central opening, the upper annular opening allowing access to the volume for dispensing the flexible plastic film tubing from the volume such that the flexible plastic film tubing extends out from the upper annular opening and through the central opening of the annular receptacle to receive disposable objects in an end of the flexible plastic film tubing;
wherein at least a portion of the volume of the annular receptacle is located radially outward of and side by side with the clearance such that at least a portion of the flexible plastic film tubing is disposed in the accumulated condition in said portion of the volume of the annular receptacle.
2. The cassette according to claim 1 , wherein the clearance has a shape that is complementary to that of an interfering member of the apparatus so as to cooperate therewith, in use.
3. The cassette according to claim 1 , wherein the wall extending obliquely upward from the lower surface of the annular receptacle is a chamfer that provides the clearance.
4. The cassette according to claim 3 , wherein the clearance extends on the full periphery of the central opening.
5. A cassette for use in an apparatus for packing at least one disposable object, comprising:
an annular receptacle defining a central opening, the annular receptacle including a volume receiving a flexible plastic film tubing radially outward of the central opening, the annular receptacle having a wall extending obliquely upward from a lower surface of the annular receptacle, the wall configured to prevent improper orientation of the cassette into the apparatus, an outer wall extending upward from the lower surface of the annular receptacle, the outer wall extending upwardly beyond the wall, the annular receptacle having a clearance defined by the wall, the clearance opening into the central opening; a length of the flexible plastic film tubing disposed in an accumulated condition in the volume of the annular receptacle;
an upper annular opening at an upper end of the annular receptacle, the upper annular opening located over the volume and radially outward of the central opening, the upper annular opening allowing access to the volume for dispensing the flexible plastic film tubing from the volume such that the flexible plastic film tubing extends out from the upper annular opening and through the central opening of the annular receptacle;
wherein at least a portion of the volume of the annular receptacle is located radially outward of and side by side with the clearance such that at least a portion of the flexible plastic film tubing is disposed in the accumulated condition in said portion of the volume of the annular receptacle.
6. The cassette according to claim 5 , wherein the clearance has a shape that is complementary to that of an interfering member of the apparatus so as to cooperate therewith, in use.
7. The cassette according to claim 5 , wherein the wall extending obliquely upward from the lower surface of the annular receptacle is a chamfer that provides the clearance.
8. The cassette according to claim 7 , wherein the clearance extends on the full periphery of the central opening.
