Abstract

A device may receive content data from a content provider, the content data including: data identifying content, and data for verifying that the content has not changed. The device may access a blockchain associated with the content data, the blockchain including validation information specifying instructions for validating the content. In addition, the device may perform, based on the validation information, validation of the content to determine a measure of confidence that the content is accurate and store results of the validation in the blockchain as a transaction. Based on the validation results, the device may perform an action.

Claims (72)

1. A method of content validation using blockchain, the method comprising:

receiving, by a device, first content data associated with a content provider;

generating, by the device, second content data that is in a format to facilitate content validation;

accessing, by the device, the blockchain, where the blockchain is associated with the second content data;

validating, by the device, content associated with the first content data;

storing, by the device, validation results in the blockchain as a transaction record,

where the validation results comprise an evaluation score based upon a plurality of parameters associated with an indication of accuracy associated with the content, and

where the validation results are based on an algorithm for validating the second content data; and

performing, by the device, an action based on the indication of accuracy of the validation results,

where the action includes providing data that causes an indication associated with the validation results to be embedded in third content data that is different from the first content data and the second content data.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first content data includes incentive information specifying compensation available for performing validation of the content.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein an entity is compensated via a smart contract.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the blockchain contains validation information that includes an algorithm specifying instructions for validating the content.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein validating the content comprises:

validating the content based on information included in the blockchain.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the blockchain is a permissioned blockchain associated with a blockchain network; and

the device is included in the blockchain network.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of parameters includes one or more of:

a first value indicating a measure of confidence that quotes included in the content are accurate;

a second value indicating a measure of confidence that a title associated with the content matches a meaning associated with the content;

a third value indicating a measure of confidence that the content provider is a provider of valid content;

a fourth value indicating a peer consensus score that indicates a degree to which peers of the content provider are associated with peer content similar to the content;

a fifth value indicating a measure of confidence that facts presented in the content are accurate;

a sixth value indicating a measure of quality associated with a grammar of the content; or

a seventh value indicating a measure of quality associated with a tone of the content.

8. A device, comprising:

one or more memories; and

one or more processors communicatively coupled to the one or more memories, configured to:

receive first content data associated with a content provider, the first content data including:

data identifying content, and

data for verifying that the content has not been changed;

generate second content data that is in a format to facilitate content validation;

generate a blockchain associated with the second content data;

validate content associated with the first content data;

store validation results in the blockchain as a transaction record,

where the validation results comprise an evaluation score based upon one or more parameters associated with an indication of accuracy associated with the content, and

where the validation results are based on an algorithm of validating the second content data; and

perform an action based on the indication of accuracy of the validation results,

where the action includes providing data that causes an indication associated with the validation results to be embedded in third content data that is different from the first content data and the second content data.

9. The device of claim 8 , wherein the blockchain includes:

content information,

validation information,

the validation results, and

blockchain data.

10. The device of claim 8 , wherein the blockchain contains validation information that includes an algorithm for evaluating accuracy or trustworthiness of the content.

11. The device of claim 10 , wherein the algorithm is associated with a machine learning model.

12. The device of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors, when validating the content, are configured to:

validate the content based on information included in the blockchain.

13. The device of claim 8 , wherein:

the blockchain is a permissioned blockchain associated with a blockchain network; and

the device is included in the blockchain network.

14. The device of claim 8 , wherein the validation results include a status identifier indicating whether the content is validated.

15. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions, the instructions comprising:

one or more instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:

receive first content data associated with a content provider,

the first content data including data identifying content;

generate second content data that is in a format to facilitate content validation;

access a blockchain, where the blockchain is associated with the second content data;

validate content associated with the first content data;

store validation results in the blockchain as a transaction record,

where the validation results comprise an evaluation score based upon at least one validation parameter associated with an indication of accuracy associated with the content, and

where the validation results are based on an algorithm of validating the second content data; and

perform an action based on the indication of accuracy of the validation results,

where the action includes providing data that causes an indication associated with the validation results to be embedded in third content data that is different from the first content data and the second content data.

16. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the blockchain contains validation information that includes an algorithm specifying instructions for validating the content.

17. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the algorithm is associated with a machine learning model.

18. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the first content data is included in a block of the blockchain that is different from a genesis block.

19. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more instructions, that cause the one or more processors to validate the content, cause the one or more processors to:

validate the content based on information included in the blockchain.

20. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the one or more processors to:

provide display data used to display with the content, the indication associated with the validation results.
