Abstract

Systems and methods to deploy cloud infrastructure. In one approach, a method includes creating a blueprint using a user interface displayed at a user device, automatically generating code based on the blueprint (e.g., generating the code using a server), and deploying the cloud infrastructure using the code (e.g., deploying to the AWS cloud).

Claims (43)

1. A method comprising:

creating, by at least one computing device, at least one blueprint, wherein the at least one blueprint comprises blueprint components;

generating, by the at least one computing device, code based on the at least one blueprint;

instantiating a virtual private cloud (VPC), wherein cloud deploy software executes in the VPC;

creating at least one pipeline on the VPC, wherein the at least one pipeline sends application programming interface (API) calls to cloud deploy software executing in the VPC, and wherein the cloud deploy software modifies the code in response to the calls; and

deploy, using the modified code, a cloud infrastructure, wherein the deploying includes controlling, by the VPC, instantiation of the blueprint to provide the cloud infrastructure.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein deploying the cloud infrastructure further includes deploying a plurality of workloads to a cloud.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein generating the code generates at least one file that defines at least one of resources or code, and wherein the at least one of resources or code is configured to instantiate a cloud solution defined by the at least one blueprint.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising testing

to verify the deployed cloud infrastructure conforms to the at least one blueprint.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein each of the blueprint components

corresponds to a respective block of software code used to instantiate or configure cloud provider components, provisioner components, or application package components.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the blueprint is created by a user computing device that displays a user interface, wherein the blueprint is created using drag-and-drop of icons in the user interface, and wherein each of the icons corresponds to one of the blueprint components.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the code is generated by a server, and

wherein the code is infrastructure as code.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the cloud deploy software installs at least one application or any cloud service during deployment of the cloud infrastructure.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the cloud deploy software installs at least one accelerator.

10. A system comprising:

at least one processor; and

memory storing instructions configured to instruct the at least one processor to:

create at least one blueprint; and

generate code based on the at least one blueprint;

instantiate a virtual private cloud (VPC);

create at least one pipeline on the VPC, wherein the at least one pipeline sends application programming interface (API) calls to cloud deploy software executing in the VPC, and wherein the cloud deploy software modifies the code in response to the calls; and

deploy, using the modified code, a cloud infrastructure, wherein the deploying includes controlling, by the VPC, instantiation of the blueprint to provide the cloud infrastructure.

11. The system of claim 10 , wherein the cloud deploy software installs at least one accelerator during deployment of the cloud infrastructure.

12. The system of claim 10 , wherein the at least one blueprint is created based on user inputs to a user interface of a user computing device, and blueprint components of the blueprint are instantiated by at least one cloud server.

13. The system of claim 10 , wherein the cloud deploy software links to at least one pipeline located on one or more remote computing devices, and wherein the remote computing devices are accessed using remote calls.

14. The system of claim 10 , wherein the cloud deploy software installs at least one application or any cloud service during deployment of the cloud infrastructure.

15. A non-transitory computer-storage medium storing instructions configured to instruct at least one computing device to:

create at least one blueprint;

generate code based on the at least one blueprint;

instantiate a virtual private cloud (VPC);

create at least one pipeline on the VPC, wherein the at least one pipeline sends application programming interface (API) calls to cloud deploy software executing in the VPC, and wherein the cloud deploy software modifies the code in response to the calls; and

deploy, using the modified code, a cloud infrastructure, wherein the deploying includes controlling, by the VPC, instantiation of the blueprint to provide the cloud infrastructure.

16. The non-transitory computer-storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the

generated code is in the form of declarative configuration files.

17. The non-transitory computer-storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the at least one blueprint comprises automation scripts that enable a user to provision resources.

18. The non-transitory computer-storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the at least one blueprint comprises links, and wherein each link is a dependency between at least two resources.

19. The non-transitory computer-storage medium of claim 18 , wherein:

the at least one blueprint comprises parent resources that are instantiated in the cloud infrastructure;

the at least one blueprint comprises child resources that are instantiated in the cloud infrastructure; and

the respective dependency of each link is a parent-child relationship in which a child resource can only be installed if a corresponding parent resource exists.
