Calling line/name identification of enterprise subscribers in mobile calls
A system, server, and method of DTMF detection in a VoIP network.
1. A method comprising:
identifying, by an enterprise gateway server, that an incoming call for an enterprise user is to be routed to a mobile device associated with the enterprise user based on an enterprise policy;
identifying, by the enterprise gateway server, whether a carrier gateway server is capable of originating a call;
wherein if the carrier gateway server is not capable of originating a call, then the method comprises:
originating, by the enterprise gateway server, an outgoing call to the mobile device using number information of an originating party of the incoming call and a numerical indicator identifying a line number dialed by the originating party, and
connecting, by the enterprise gateway server, the incoming call with the outgoing call; and
wherein if the carrier gateway server is capable of originating a call, then the method comprises:
originating, by the carrier gateway server, an outgoing call to the mobile device using number information of an originating party of the incoming call and a numerical indicator identifying a line number dialed by the originating party, and
connecting, by the carrier gateway server, the incoming call with the outgoing call.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the numerical indicator comprises:
a one or more digit number identifying one of a plurality of telephone lines associated with the enterprise user.
3. The method of claim 1 , comprising:
prepending the numerical indicator to the number information.
4. The method of claim 1 , comprising:
replacing a portion of the number information with the numerical indicator.
5. The method of claim 1 , comprising:
transmitting a ring indicator to the mobile device, the ring indicator identifying the line number dialed by the originating party.
6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the identifying that the incoming call for the enterprise user is to be routed further comprises:
identifying that the incoming call is to be routed to the mobile device based on criteria including one or more of:
a time-of-day, a day-of-week, whether the enterprise user has badged-in or badged-out, permanent settings, user settings, and administrator settings.
7. A system comprising:
a carrier gateway server; and an enterprise gateway server configured to:
identify that an incoming call for an enterprise user is to be routed to a mobile device associated with the enterprise user based on an enterprise policy, and
identify whether the carrier gateway server is capable of originating a call;
wherein if the carrier gateway server is not capable of originating a call, the enterprise server is further configured to:
originate an outgoing call to the mobile device using number information of an originating party of the incoming call and a numerical indicator identifying a line number dialed by the originating party, and
connect the incoming call with the outgoing call; and
wherein if the carrier gateway server is capable of originating a call, then the carrier gateway server is further configured to:
originate an outgoing call to the mobile device using number information of an originating party of the incoming call and a numerical indicator identifying a line number dialed by the originating party, and
connect the incoming call with the outgoing call.
8. The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the numerical indicator comprises:
a one or more digit number identifying one of a plurality of telephone lines associated with the enterprise user.
9. The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the enterprise gateway server or the carrier gateway server is further configured to:
prepend the numerical indicator to the number information.
10. The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the enterprise gateway server or the carrier gateway server is further configured to:
replacing a portion of the number information with the numerical indicator.
11. The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the enterprise gateway server or the carrier gateway server is further configured to:
transmit a ring indicator to the mobile device, the ring indicator identifying the line number dialed by the originating party.
12. The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein, when the enterprise gateway server is configured to identify that an incoming call for an enterprise user is to be routed, the enterprise gateway server is further configured to:
identify that the incoming call is to be routed to the mobile device based on criteria including one or more of:
a time-of-day, a day-of-week, whether the enterprise user has badged-in or badged-out, permanent settings, user settings, and administrator settings.
13. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium configured to store instructions that when executed by a processor cause the processor to perform:
identifying, by an enterprise gateway server, that an incoming call for an enterprise user is to be routed to a mobile device associated with the enterprise user based on an enterprise policy
identifying, by the enterprise gateway server, whether a carrier gateway server is capable of originating a call;
wherein if the carrier gateway server is not capable of originating a call, then the method comprises:
originating, by the enterprise gateway server, an outgoing call to the mobile device using number information of an originating party of the incoming call and a numerical indicator identifying a line number dialed by the originating party, and
connecting, by the enterprise gateway server, the incoming call with the outgoing call; and
wherein if the carrier gateway server is capable of originating a call, then the method comprises:
originating, by the carrier gateway server, an outgoing call to the mobile device using number information of an originating party of the incoming call and a numerical indicator identifying a line number dialed by the originating party, and
connecting, by the carrier gateway server, the incoming call with the outgoing call.
14. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein the numerical indicator comprises:
a one or more digit number identifying one of a plurality of telephone lines associated with the enterprise user.
15. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor to perform:
prepending the numerical indicator to the number information.
