Abstract

A method for proactive marketing includes: receiving information that an event is expected to happen or is happening; determining attributes of customers that will be affected by the event; and taking action based on the determined attributes. A system for proactive marketing includes: an intelligent database for storing interaction data of customers; and a data management platform (DMP) configured to receive customer data from the intelligent database, determine attributes of customers that will be affected by an event, and take action based on the determined attributes. A proactive marketing platform includes: data sources; and a marketing and ad platform configured to receive data from the data sources, determine attributes based on the data; and take action based on the determined attributes.

Claims (31)

1 . A method for proactive marketing, the method comprising:

receiving information that an event is expected to happen or is happening;

determining attributes of customers that will be affected by the event; and

taking action based on the determined attributes.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving records of a plurality of customers, and analyzing segments of the records to determine which customers will be affected by the event.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein analyzing the segments of the records comprises comparing the segments to the determined attributes.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the event is one of a weather event, a traffic event, a social event, a sporting event, or a news event.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the attributes comprise at least one of demographic information of the customers or psychographic information of the customers.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein taking action comprises providing a marketing action to the customers that will be affected by the event.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein taking action comprises providing an advertising action to the customers that will be affected by the event.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein different actions are taken with respect to different customers from the set of customers that will be affected by the event.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein taking action comprises contacting the set of customers that will be affected by the event.

10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the contacting is by at least one of phone, text message, or email, and comprises offering a gift, an award, or an incentive to each of the customers that will be affected by the event.

11 . A system for proactive marketing, the system comprising:

at least one processor; and

a non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to:

receive information that an event is expected to happen or is happening;

determine attributes of customers that will be affected by the event; and

take action based on the determined attributes.

12 . The system of claim 11 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to receive records of a plurality of customers, and analyze segments of the records to determine which customers will be affected by the event.

13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein analyzing the segments of the records comprises comparing the segments to the determined attributes.

14 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the event is one of a weather event, a traffic event, a social event, a sporting event, or a news event, and wherein the attributes comprise at least one of demographic information of the customers or psychographic information of the customers.

15 . The system of claim 11 , wherein taking action comprises at least one of: providing a marketing action to the customers that will be affected by the event, providing an advertising action to the customers that will be affected by the event, or contacting the set of customers that will be affected by the event.

16 . The system of claim 11 , wherein different actions are taken with respect to different customers from the set of customers that will be affected by the event, and wherein the contacting is by at least one of phone, text message, or email, and comprises offering a gift, an award, or an incentive to each of the customers that will be affected by the event.

17 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause a computer system to:

receive information that an event is expected to happen or is happening;

determine attributes of customers that will be affected by the event; and

take action based on the determined attributes.

The computer-readable medium of claim 17 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the computer system to receive records of a plurality of customers, and analyze segments of the records to determine which customers will be affected by the event.

19 . The computer-readable medium of claim 18 , wherein analyzing the segments of the records comprises comparing the segments to the determined attributes.

The computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein taking action comprises at least one of: providing a marketing action to the customers that will be affected by the event, providing an advertising action to the customers that will be affected by the event, or contacting the set of customers that will be affected by the event, and wherein different actions are taken with respect to different customers from the set of customers that will be affected by the event, and wherein the contacting is by at least one of phone, text message, or email, and comprises offering a gift, an award, or an incentive to each of the customers that will be affected by the event.
