Abstract

A wireless device receives configuration parameters comprising first parameters of downlink RSs and second parameter indicating that a default beam is used for uplink transmission. A DCI indicating a first uplink transmission via a PUSCH resource is received. A spatial relation information, for the first uplink transmission, is determined to be associated with one of the downlink reference signals in response to the second parameter indicating that the default beam is used. A transport block is transmitted via the PUSCH resource according to the spatial relation information.

one or more channel state information reference signals (CSI-RSs);

one or more synchronization signal blocks (SSBs); and

one or more sounding reference signals (SRSs).

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the determining the spatial relation information is associated with the one of the downlink reference signals is based on the DCI being of DCI format 0_0 and with an SRS resource indicator field being absent.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the determining the spatial relation information is associated with the one of the downlink reference signals is based on one or more spatial relation information, for physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources, not being provided.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the determining the spatial relation information is associated with the one of the downlink reference signals is based on the wireless device being in a radio resource control connected state.

6. The method of claim 5 , further comprising initiating a handover procedure based on the wireless device being in the radio resource control connected state, wherein the handover procedure comprises at least one of:

a random access (RACH) based handover to a second base station; and

a RACH-less handover to the second base station.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the transmitting the transport block according to the spatial relation information comprises: transmitting the transport block, based on a spatial domain filter used for receiving a SSB of the downlink reference signals, in response to the spatial relation information being associated with the SSB.

8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the second parameter further indicates the spatial relation information is associated with the SSB of the downlink reference signals.

9. The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving a second DCI having a second DCI format and indicating a second PUSCH resource for a second uplink transport block, wherein the second DCI comprises an SRS resource indicator field.

10. The method of claim 9 , further comprising transmitting the second uplink transport block via the second PUSCH resource according to a second spatial relation information, wherein the second spatial relation information is determined based on the SRS resource indicator field in response to the second DCI comprising the SRS resource indicator field.

11. A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive, from a base station, configuration parameters comprising:

first parameters of downlink reference signals; and

a second parameter indicating that a default beam is used for uplink transmission;

receive a downlink control information (DCI) indicating a first uplink transmission via a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resource;

determine, for the first uplink transmission, a spatial relation information is associated with one of the downlink reference signals in response to the second parameter indicating that the default beam is used; and

transmit a transport block via the PUSCH resource and according to the spatial relation information.

12. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the downlink reference signals comprise at least one of:

one or more channel state information reference signals (CSI-RSs);

one or more synchronization signal blocks (SSBs); and

one or more sounding reference signals (SRSs).

13. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to determine the spatial relation information is associated with the one of the downlink reference signals based on the DCI being of DCI format 0_0 and with an SRS resource indicator field being absent.

14. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to determine the spatial relation information is associated with the one of the downlink reference signals based on one or more spatial relation information, for physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources, not being provided.

15. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to determine the spatial relation information is associated with the one of the downlink reference signals based on the wireless device being in a radio resource control connected mode.

16. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein to transmit the transport block according to the spatial relation information, the wireless device is further caused to: transmit the transport block, based on a spatial domain filter used for receiving a SSB of the downlink reference signals, in response to the spatial relation information being associated with the SSB.
