Sphingosine pathway modulating compounds for the treatment of cancers
The invention provides methods and compositions for treating cancers and myeloproliferative disorders using sphingosine kinase-1 inhibitors, such as SK1-I, and selective sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor agonists, such as ozanimod.
1. A method for treating pancreatic cancer in a mammalian subject, comprising the step of:
coadministering to a mammalian subject in need of treatment for pancreatic cancer
(i) a therapeutically effective amount of ozanimod or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; and
(ii) a therapeutically effective amount of the compound
or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the mammalian subject is a human.
3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the coadministering step comprises:
coadministering to the mammalian subject the hydrochloride salt of the compound
4. The method of claim 3 , wherein the mammalian subject is a human.
5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the coadministering step comprises:
coadministering to the mammalian subject the hydrochloride salt of ozanimod.
6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the mammalian subject is a human.
7. The method of claim 3 , wherein the coadministering step comprises:
coadministering to the mammalian subject the hydrochloride salt of ozanimod.
8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the mammalian subject is a human.
