Claims (15)

1 - 18 . (canceled)

19 . A structure comprising:

a pavement surface having a width; and

a binder composition applied to the pavement surface, wherein the binder composition covers a substantial portion of the width of the pavement surface, and wherein said binder composition comprises:

at least one asphalt binder;

at least one elastomer; and

ethylene bis stearamide.

20 . The structure of claim 19 , wherein the at least one elastomer comprises a styrene-butadiene-styrene polymer.

21 . The structure of claim 19 , wherein the binder composition further comprises sulfur.

22 . The structure of claim 19 , wherein the at least one elastomer comprises about 2 to about 5 wt. % of the binder composition.

23 . The structure of claim 19 , wherein the at least one asphalt binder comprises about 85 to about 97 wt. % of the binder composition.

24 . The structure of claim 19 , wherein the ethylene bis stearamide comprises about 1 to about 5 wt. % of the binder composition.

25 . The structure of claim 19 , wherein the binder composition covers the entire width of the pavement surface.

26 . The structure of claim 19 , further comprising an asphalt layer placed over the binder composition, wherein the binder composition is positioned between the pavement surface and the asphalt layer.

27 . The structure of claim 26 , wherein the asphalt layer comprises a hot-mix asphalt.
