Abstract

A computer-implemented method, computer program product and computing system for: defining a performance-based income adjustment program for one or more performance-based employees within an automotive space; monitoring performance information for the one or more performance-based employees with respect to the performance-based income adjustment program to determine if the one or more performance-based employees qualifies for a performance-based income adjustment associated with the performance-based income adjustment program; and adjusting the compensation of the one or more performance-based employees to reflect the performance-based income adjustment.

Claims (114)

1 . A compensation management method, executed on a computing device, comprising:

defining a performance-based income adjustment program for one or more performance-based employees within an automotive space;

monitoring performance information for the one or more performance-based employees with respect to the performance-based income adjustment program to determine if the one or more performance-based employees qualifies for a performance-based income adjustment associated with the performance-based income adjustment program; and

adjusting the compensation of the one or more performance-based employees to reflect the performance-based income adjustment.

2 . The compensation management method of claim 1 wherein the performance-based income adjustment is an upward income adjustment.

3 . The compensation management method of claim 1 wherein the performance-based income adjustment is a downward income adjustment.

4 . The compensation management method of claim 1 wherein the automotive space includes one or more of:

an automotive sales space;

an automotive service space;

an automotive body shop space;

an automotive finance & insurance space;

an automotive administrative space;

an automotive franchisor space; and

an automotive parts space.

5 . The compensation management method of claim 1 wherein the performance information is obtained from one or more of:

a customer relationship management platform,

an inventory management platform,

an accounting platform,

a proprietary data feed,

a proprietary data file,

a proprietary datastore,

manually-entered data, and

a dealership management platform.

6 . The compensation management method of claim 1 wherein the performance-based income adjustment includes a cash-based income adjustment.

7 . The compensation management method of claim 1 wherein the performance-based income adjustment includes a paperless income adjustment.

8 . The compensation management method of claim 1 wherein the performance-based income adjustment program is sponsored by an automotive dealership.

9 . The compensation management method of claim 1 wherein the performance-based income adjustment program is sponsored by an automotive manufacturer.

10 . The compensation management method of claim 1 further comprising:

rendering a user interface that defines the status of the performance-based income adjustment program.

11 . The compensation management method of claim 10 wherein the status of the performance-based income adjustment program includes one or more of:

a starting date of the performance-based income adjustment program;

an ending date of the performance-based income adjustment program;

a quantity of income adjustments already distributed;

a quantity of income adjustments still available;

recipients of any distributed income adjustments; and

a sponsor of the performance-based income adjustment program.

12 . The compensation management method of claim 10 wherein the user interface is configured to be accessible by the one or more performance-based employees.

13 . The compensation management method of claim 10 wherein the user interface is configured to define the status of one or more additional performance-based income adjustment programs.

14 . A computer program product residing on a computer readable medium having a plurality of instructions stored thereon which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:

defining a performance-based income adjustment program for one or more performance-based employees within an automotive space;

monitoring performance information for the one or more performance-based employees with respect to the performance-based income adjustment program to determine if the one or more performance-based employees qualifies for a performance-based income adjustment associated with the performance-based income adjustment program; and

adjusting the compensation of the one or more performance-based employees to reflect the performance-based income adjustment.

15 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein the performance-based income adjustment is an upward income adjustment.

16 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein the performance-based income adjustment is a downward income adjustment.

17 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein the automotive space includes one or more of:

an automotive sales space;

an automotive service space;

an automotive body shop space;

an automotive finance & insurance space;

an automotive administrative space;

an automotive franchisor space; and

an automotive parts space.

18 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein the performance information is obtained from one or more of:

a customer relationship management platform,

an inventory management platform,

an accounting platform,

a proprietary data feed,

a proprietary data file,

a proprietary datastore,

manually-entered data, and

a dealership management platform.

19 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein the performance-based income adjustment includes a cash-based income adjustment.

20 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein the performance-based income adjustment includes a paperless income adjustment.

21 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein the performance-based income adjustment program is sponsored by an automotive dealership.

22 . The computer program product of claim 14 wherein the performance-based income adjustment program is sponsored by an automotive manufacturer.

23 . The computer program product of claim 14 further comprising:

rendering a user interface that defines the status of the performance-based income adjustment program.

24 . The computer program product of claim 23 wherein the status of the performance-based income adjustment program includes one or more of:

a starting date of the performance-based income adjustment program;

an ending date of the performance-based income adjustment program;

a quantity of income adjustments already distributed;

a quantity of income adjustments still available;

recipients of any distributed income adjustments; and

a sponsor of the performance-based income adjustment program.

25 . The computer program product of claim 23 wherein the user interface is configured to be accessible by the one or more performance-based employees.

26 . The computer program product of claim 23 wherein the user interface is configured to define the status of one or more additional performance-based income adjustment programs.

27 . A computing system including a processor and memory configured to perform operations comprising:

defining a performance-based income adjustment program for one or more performance-based employees within an automotive space;

monitoring performance information for the one or more performance-based employees with respect to the performance-based income adjustment program to determine if the one or more performance-based employees qualifies for a performance-based income adjustment associated with the performance-based income adjustment program; and

adjusting the compensation of the one or more performance-based employees to reflect the performance-based income adjustment.

28 . The computing system of claim 27 wherein the performance-based income adjustment is an upward income adjustment.

29 . The computing system of claim 27 wherein the performance-based income adjustment is a downward income adjustment.

30 . The computing system of claim 27 wherein the automotive space includes one or more of:

an automotive sales space;

an automotive service space;

an automotive body shop space;

an automotive finance & insurance space;

an automotive administrative space;

an automotive franchisor space; and

an automotive parts space.

31 . The computing system of claim 27 wherein the performance information is obtained from one or more of:

a customer relationship management platform,

an inventory management platform,

an accounting platform,

a proprietary data feed,

a proprietary data file,

32 . The computing system of claim 27 wherein the performance-based income adjustment includes a cash-based income adjustment.

34 . The computing system of claim 27 wherein the performance-based income adjustment program is sponsored by an automotive dealership.

35 . The computing system of claim 27 wherein the performance-based income adjustment program is sponsored by an automotive manufacturer.

36 . The computing system of claim 27 further comprising:

rendering a user interface that defines the status of the performance-based income adjustment program.

37 . The computing system of claim 36 wherein the status of the performance-based income adjustment program includes one or more of:

a starting date of the performance-based income adjustment program;

an ending date of the performance-based income adjustment program;

a quantity of income adjustments already distributed;

a quantity of income adjustments still available;

recipients of any distributed income adjustments; and

a sponsor of the performance-based income adjustment program.

38 . The computing system of claim 36 wherein the user interface is configured to be accessible by the one or more performance-based employees.

39 . The computing system of claim 36 wherein the user interface is configured to define the status of one or more additional performance-based income adjustment programs.
