Abstract

The present disclosure relates generally to a system that enables funds automatically transferred into the system from one or more funding sources in anticipation of such funds being used in association with various system components.

Claims (30)

1. A system comprising:

a processor; and

a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:

responsive to an occurrence of an anticipated fund transfer event based on an anticipated use time of an amount of funds requested to be electronically transferred from an external account and a designated period of time associated with a completion of the electronic transfer of the amount of fund from the external account, cause the requested amount of funds to be available in association with a line of credit, and

after the occurrence of the anticipated fund transfer event and responsive to a gaming establishment account transfer event, modify a balance of a gaming establishment account based on the line of credit, wherein the modification of the balance of the gaming establishment account occurs prior to the anticipated use time of the amount of funds.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the anticipated fund transfer event comprises receiving a confirmation input associated with the amount of funds.

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the gaming establishment account transfer event comprises receiving an input, via an input device, to use an available amount of funds of the line of credit.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the gaming establishment account transfer event comprises receiving data in association with a mobile device application of a mobile device.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the line of credit is issued via a credit system.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein when executed by the processor, the instructions cause the processor to automatically communicate data associated with the amount of funds to be electronically transferred from the external account responsive to the occurrence of the anticipated fund transfer event.

7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the anticipated use time of the amount of funds is any of an anticipated arrival at a gaming establishment, and an anticipated departure from the gaming establishment.

8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is any of a part of a controller of a cashless wagering system, a part of a controller of a gaming establishment retail system, a part of a controller of a gaming establishment credit system, and a part of a controller of a gaming establishment fund management system.

9. The system of claim 1 , wherein the gaming establishment account is any of a cashless wagering account, a gaming establishment retail account, and a gaming establishment fund management account.

10. A system comprising:

a processor; and

a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:

issue a line of credit following an occurrence of an anticipated fund transfer event based on an anticipated use time of a first amount of funds requested to be electronically transferred from an external account and a designated period of time associated with a completion of the electronic transfer of the first amount of fund from the external account, and

after the occurrence of the anticipated fund transfer event, prior to the anticipated use time of the first amount of funds and responsive to a gaming establishment account transfer event, transfer a second amount of funds from the issued line of credit to a balance of a gaming establishment account.

11. The system of claim 10 , wherein the anticipated use time of the amount of funds is any of an anticipated arrival at a gaming establishment, and an anticipated departure from the gaming establishment.

12. A method of operating a system, the method comprising:

responsive to an occurrence of an anticipated fund transfer event based on an anticipated use time of an amount of funds requested to be electronically transferred from an external account and a designated period of time associated with a completion of the electronic transfer of the amount of fund from the external account, causing, by a processor, the requested amount of funds to be available in association with a line of credit, and

after the occurrence of the anticipated fund transfer event and responsive to a gaming establishment account transfer event, modifying, by the processor, a balance of a gaming establishment account based on the line of credit, wherein the modification of the balance of the gaming establishment account occurs prior to the anticipated use time of the amount of funds.

13. The method of claim 12 , wherein the anticipated fund transfer event comprises receiving a confirmation input associated with the amount of funds.

14. The method of claim 12 , wherein the gaming establishment account transfer event comprises receiving an input, via an input device, to use an available amount of funds of the line of credit.

15. The method of claim 12 , wherein the gaming establishment account transfer event comprises receiving data in association with a mobile device application of a mobile device.

16. The method of claim 12 , wherein the line of credit is issued via a credit system.

17. The method of claim 12 , further comprising automatically communicating data associated with the amount of funds to be electronically transferred from the external account responsive to the occurrence of the anticipated fund transfer event.

18. The method of claim 12 , wherein the anticipated use time of the amount of funds is any of an anticipated arrival at a gaming establishment, and an anticipated departure from the gaming establishment.

19. The method of claim 12 , wherein the processor is any of a part of a controller of a cashless wagering system, a part of a controller of a gaming establishment retail system, a part of a controller of a gaming establishment credit system, and a part of a controller of a gaming establishment fund management system.

20. The method of claim 12 , wherein the gaming establishment account is any of a cashless wagering account, a gaming establishment retail account, and a gaming establishment fund management account.
