Abstract

A sol composition for aerogel formation including a hydrolysis product of a polysiloxane compound.

Claims (14)

1. A sol composition for aerogel formation comprising: a hydrolysis product of a polysiloxane compound represented by the following formula (5),

wherein R 14 represents an alkyl group or an alkoxy group, R 15 and R 16 each independently represent an alkoxy group, R 17 and R 18 each independently represent an alkyl group or an aryl group, and m represents an integer of 1 to 50.

2. The sol composition according to claim 1 , wherein the number of carbon atoms of the alkoxy group is 1 to 6.

3. The sol composition according to claim 1 , further comprising a hydrolysis product of a silicon compound having a hydrolyzable functional group within a molecule.

4. The sol composition according to claim 3 , further comprising the silicon compound in unhydrolyzed form.

5. The sol composition according to claim 1 , wherein the sol composition further contains a hydrolysis product of an alkyl silicon alkoxide.

6. The sol composition according to claim 5 , further comprising the alkyl silicon alkoxide in unhydrolyzed form.

7. The sol composition according to claim 6 , wherein the mass ratio of the content of the polysiloxane compound in unhydrolyzed form and the hydrolysis product of the polysiloxane compound to the content of the alkyl silicon alkoxide in unhydrolyzed form and the hydrolysis product of the alkyl silicon alkoxide is 1:0.5 to 1:4.

8. The sol composition according to claim 7 , wherein the mass ratio 1:1 to 1:4.

9. The sol composition according to claim 1 , further comprising the polysiloxane compound in unhydrolyzed form.

10. The sol composition according to claim 9 , wherein a content of the hydrolysis product of the polysiloxane compound and the polysiloxane compound in unhydrolyzed form is 5 to 50 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass in total of the sol composition.

11. The sol composition according to claim 9 , further comprising one or more silicon compounds selected from methyltrimethoxysilane, dimethyldimethoxysilane, bistrimethoxysilylmethane, bistrimethoxysilylethane, bistrimethoxysilylhexane, ethyltrimethoxysilane, vinyltrimethoxysilane, a hydrolysis product of methyltrimethoxysilane, a hydrolysis product of dimethyldimethoxysilane, a hydrolysis product of bistrimethoxysilylmethane, a hydrolysis product of bistrimethoxysilylethane, a hydrolysis product of bistrimethoxysilylhexane, a hydrolysis product of ethyltrimethoxysilane, and a hydrolysis product of vinyltrimethoxysilane.

12. The sol composition according to claim 11 , wherein the mass ratio of the content of the polysiloxane compound in unhydrolyzed form and the hydrolysis product of the polysiloxane compound to the content of the one or more silicon compounds is 1:0.5 to 1:4.

13. The sol composition according to claim 12 , wherein the mass ratio is 1:1 to 1:4.
