Abstract

Provided are a method for reporting a power headroom and an apparatus using the same. The apparatus computes and reports a power headroom for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) that is transmitted in a first transmission period of a first band having a first subcarrier interval. The power headroom is computed on the basis of at least one second transmission interval of a second band having a second subcarrier interval which overlaps with the first transmission interval.

Claims (48)

1. A method for reporting a power headroom for multiple cells in a wireless communication system, the method performed by a wireless device and comprising:

computing a first power headroom (PH) for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission in a first time slot on a first bandwidth part (BWP) of a first serving cell;

based on the first time slot overlapping at least in part with each of a plurality of time slots on a second BWP of a second serving cell, wherein the first BWP of the first serving cell has a first subcarrier spacing (SCS) which is smaller than a second SCS of the second BWP of the second serving cell such that a duration of each time slot on the first BWP is longer than a duration of each time slot on the second BWP:

computing a second PH for a PUSCH transmission in a second time slot on the second BWP of the second serving cell, wherein the second time slot is an initial time slot, among the plurality of time slots, which fully overlaps in time with the first time slot; and

reporting the first PH and the second PH.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein both the first PH and the second PH are reported by the wireless device in the PUSCH transmission in the first time slot on the first BWP of the first serving cell.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first PH for the PUSCH transmission in the first time slot on the first BWP of the first serving cell is computed based on a configured first maximum transmit power of the wireless device for the first serving cell, and

wherein the second PH for the PUSCH transmission in the second time slot on the second BWP of the second serving cell is computed based on a configured second maximum transmit power of the wireless device for the second serving cell.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first SCS of the first BWP of the first serving cell is equal to a first value among 15 KHz, 30 KHz, 60 KHz, and 120 KHz, and

wherein the second SCS of the second BWP of the second serving cell is equal to a second value among 15 KHz, 30 KHz, 60 KHz, and 120 KHz, which is larger than the first value.

5. The method of claim 4 , wherein each time slot on the first BWP and each time slot on the second BWP includes 14 orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols,

wherein a duration of each OFDM symbol on the first BWP is different from a duration of each OFDM symbol on the second BWP.

The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless device is configured with (i) a first plurality of BWPs, including the first BWP, within a first frequency range for the first serving cell, and (ii) a second plurality of BWPs, including the second BWP, within a second frequency range for the second serving cell.

7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving first downlink control information (DCI) for scheduling the PUSCH transmission in the first time slot on the first BWP of the first serving cell; and

receiving second DCI for scheduling the PUSCH transmission in the second time slot on the second BWP of the second serving cell.

The method of claim 7 , wherein the first DCI includes (i) a transmit power command (TPC) to be applied to the PUSCH transmission in the first time slot on the first BWP of the first serving cell, and (ii) a delay field related to delay between a time slot in which the first DCI was received and the first time slot in which the PUSCH transmission is performed on the first BWP of the first serving cell.

9. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving first DCI for scheduling the PUSCH transmission in the first time slot on the first BWP of the first serving cell;

receiving third DCI for scheduling a PUSCH transmission for a third serving cell;

based on (i) the PUSCH transmission for the first serving cell overlapping in time with the PUSCH transmission for the third serving cell, and (ii) the third DCI being received after the first DCI:

computing the first PH for the PUSCH transmission for the first serving cell without considering the PUSCH transmission for the third serving cell; and

reporting the first PH.

10. A device for a wireless communication system, the device comprising:

a processor; and

a memory operatively coupled with the processor and configured to store instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the device to perform functions comprising:

computing a first power headroom (PH) for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission in a first time slot on a first bandwidth part (BWP) of a first serving cell;

based on the first time slot overlapping at least in part with each of a plurality of time slots on a second BWP of a second serving cell, wherein the first BWP of the first serving cell has a first subcarrier spacing (SCS) which is smaller than a second SCS of the second BWP of the second serving cell such that a duration of each time slot on the first BWP is longer than a duration of each time slot on the second BWP:

computing a second PH for a PUSCH transmission in a second time slot on the second BWP of the second serving cell, wherein the second time slot is an initial time slot, among the plurality of time slots, which fully overlaps in time with the first time slot; and

reporting the first PH and the second PH.

11. The device of claim 10 , wherein both the first PH and the second PH are reported by the wireless device in the PUSCH transmission in the first time slot on the first BWP of the first serving cell.

12. The device of claim 10 , wherein the first PH for the PUSCH transmission in the first time slot on the first BWP of the first serving cell is computed based on a configured first maximum transmit power of the wireless device for the first serving cell, and

wherein the second PH for the PUSCH transmission in the second time slot on the second BWP of the second serving cell is computed based on a configured second maximum transmit power of the wireless device for the second serving cell.

13. The device of claim 10 , wherein the first SCS of the first BWP of the first serving cell is equal to a first value among 15 KHz, 30 KHz, 60 KHz, and 120 KHz, and

wherein the second SCS of the second BWP of the second serving cell is equal to a second value among 15 KHz, 30 KHz, 60 KHz, and 120 KHz, which is larger than the first value.

14. The device of claim 13 , wherein each time slot on the first BWP and each time slot on the second BWP includes 14 orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols,

wherein a duration of each OFDM symbol on the first BWP is different from a duration of each OFDM symbol on the second BWP.

The device of claim 10 , wherein the wireless device is configured with (i) a first plurality of BWPs, including the first BWP, within a first frequency range for the first serving cell, and (ii) a second plurality of BWPs, including the second BWP, within a second frequency range for the second serving cell.

16. The device of claim 10 , wherein the functions further comprise:

receiving first downlink control information (DCI) for scheduling the PUSCH transmission in the first time slot on the first BWP of the first serving cell; and

receiving second DCI for scheduling the PUSCH transmission in the second time slot on the second BWP of the second serving cell.

The device of claim 16 , wherein the first DCI includes (i) a transmit power command (TPC) to be applied to the PUSCH transmission in the first time slot on the first BWP of the first serving cell, and (ii) a delay field related to delay between a time slot in which the first DCI was received and the first time slot in which the PUSCH transmission is performed on the first BWP of the first serving cell.

18. The device of claim 10 , wherein the functions further comprise:

receiving first DCI for scheduling the PUSCH transmission in the first time slot on the first BWP of the first serving cell;

receiving third DCI for scheduling a PUSCH transmission for a third serving cell;

based on (i) the PUSCH transmission for the first serving cell overlapping in time with the PUSCH transmission for the third serving cell, and (ii) the third DCI being received after the first DCI:

computing the first PH for the PUSCH transmission for the first serving cell without considering the PUSCH transmission for the third serving cell; and

reporting the first PH.
