Abstract

A method for preparing and vetting a small cell for implementation is disclosed herein. The method includes assessing the small cell and a location for the small cell for one or more of compliance with leasing, zoning, and permitting prior to initiating construction planning; obtaining data from the location utilizing one or more data capture techniques and utilizing the data for generating a model based thereon; identifying construction obstacles and flaws utilizing the model; re-designing the small cell based on the construction obstacles and flaws; and developing a project plan for the small cell.

Claims (26)

1. A method for preparing and vetting a small cell for implementation, the method comprising:

assessing the small cell and a location for the small cell for one or more of compliance with leasing, zoning, and permitting prior to initiating construction planning;

obtaining data from the location utilizing one or more data capture techniques and utilizing the data for generating a model based thereon;

identifying construction obstacles and flaws utilizing the model;

re-designing the small cell based on the construction obstacles and flaws; and

developing a project plan for the small cell.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the leasing is for a location on infrastructure to mount the small cell.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more data capture techniques include one or more of photos and videos of the infrastructure using an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and modeling the infrastructure based on the captured data.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein re-designing the small cell utilizes the model which is reconfigured based thereon.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying construction obstacles and flaws includes identifying missing compliance items based on one or more of the captured data and the model and identifying parties responsible for those items, and the method further comprises providing data necessary to remedy the compliance items to the parties responsible for those items.

6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the provided data includes the captured data and the model of the infrastructure generated based on the captured data.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the location is selected from one of a plurality of locations and the plurality of locations are assessed by capturing data including one or more of photos and videos of each of the plurality of locations using an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and vetting the plurality of locations to select the location based on models generated of the plurality of locations.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein developing the project plan for the small cell is at least partially based on the model.

9. The method of claim 1 , further comprises engaging sub-contractors to identify construction tasks, division thereof and to identify any further re-configurations required for the small cell.

10. The method of claim 9 , wherein construction documents, data captured by a UAV, and the model generated based on the captured data are provided to the sub-contractors.

11. The method of claim 10 , wherein engaging the sub-contractors includes requesting feedback from the sub-contractors, revising the model based on the feedback, and revising the construction documents based on the revised model.

12. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having computer readable code stored thereon for programming a computer for a small cell via steps comprising:

subsequent to assessing the small cell and a location for the small cell for one or more of compliance with leasing, zoning, and permitting prior to initiating construction planning, obtaining data from the location utilizing one or more data capture techniques and utilizing the data for generating a model based thereon;

identifying construction obstacles and flaws utilizing the model;

re-designing the small cell based on the construction obstacles and flaws utilizing the model; and

developing a project plan for the small cell utilizing the model.

13. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , wherein the leasing is for a location on infrastructure to mount the small cell.

14. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , wherein the one or more data capture techniques include one or more of photos and videos of the infrastructure using an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and modeling the infrastructure based on the captured data.

15. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , wherein identifying construction obstacles and flaws includes identifying missing compliance items based on one or more of the captured data and the model and identifying parties responsible for those items, and the method further comprises providing data necessary to remedy the compliance items to the parties responsible for those items.

16. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , wherein the location is selected from one of a plurality of locations and the plurality of locations are assessed by capturing data including one or more of photos and videos of each of the plurality of locations using an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and vetting the plurality of locations to select the location based on models generated of the plurality of locations.

17. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , wherein developing the project plan for the small cell is at least partially based on the model.
