Abstract

An adaptive controller used in a photoplethysmography sensing system, comprises a plurality of hardware circuits which are configured to: receive a photoplethysmography signal (hereinafter, “PPG signal”) processed; determine whether the PPG signal processed satisfies with a requirement; output the PPG signal processed if the PPG signal processed satisfies with a requirement; and adjust a gain of an amplifier for amplifying the PPG signal and/or a driving signal of a light source if the PPG signal processed does not satisfy with a requirement.

Claims (24)

a filter, configured to receive a plurality of PPG signals generated by a plurality of photo sensors, and output a plurality of filtered PPG signals, wherein each filtered PPG signal of the plurality of filtered PPG signals has a peak;

a peak detection circuit, configured to receive the plurality of filtered PPG signals, and generate a plurality of processed PPG signals; and

a plurality of error amplifiers, wherein each error amplifier of the plurality of error amplifiers is configured to compare the peak of a filtered PPG signal of the plurality of filtered PPG signals with a reference signal, and output a control signal to a gate of a corresponding switch transistor according to a comparison result, wherein the corresponding switch transistor has an end configured to be connected to a light source, and a driving signal of the light source is configured to be adjusted according to the control signal.

2. The adaptive controller according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of PPG signals is configured to convey different physiology information.

3. The adaptive controller according to claim 2 , wherein the plurality of PPG signals corresponds to different wavelengths.

4. The adaptive controller according to claim 2 , wherein the plurality of processed PPG signals is compared with a physiology information.

5. The adaptive controller according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of processed PPG signals is provided to a remote server for a comparison with a physiology information.

6. A photoplethysmography sensing system comprising:

a plurality of light sources, configured to generate beams emitting to a skin surface of a living object according to a driving signal;

a plurality of photo sensors, configured to receive reflection beams from the skin surface, and generate a plurality of PPG signals according to the reflection beams; and

an adaptive controller of claim 1 .

7. The photoplethysmography sensing system according to claim 6 , wherein the plurality of processed PPG signals is configured to convey different physiology information.

8. The photoplethysmography sensing system according to claim 7 , wherein the plurality of light sources is discretely distributed for providing the beams to different locations of the skin surface.

9. The photoplethysmography sensing system according to claim 8 , wherein the plurality of light sources is discretely distributed for sensing radial artery, ulnar artery, brachial artery or micro-vessel underneath the skin surface.

10. The photoplethysmography sensing system according to claim 7 , wherein the beams have same or different wavelengths.

11. The photoplethysmography sensing system according to claim 7 , wherein the plurality of processed PPG signals is compared with a physiology information.

12. The photoplethysmography sensing system according to claim 6 , wherein the plurality of processed PPG signals is provided to a remote server for a comparison with a physiology information.
