Abstract

In an embodiment, a method comprises receiving a request to deploy one or more blockchain nodes in a blockchain network. The request includes one or more parameters of a plurality of parameters. The one or more parameters comprise one or more cloud infrastructure providers, one or more regions and a blockchain protocol. A mapping that associates each parameter of the plurality of parameters with a subset of cluster configuration data is used to generate a first message based on the one or more parameters received in the request. Cluster configuration data comprises programming interface (API) information for a plurality of cluster, authentication information for the plurality of clusters and additional configuration data for the plurality of clusters. A second message is generated based at least in part on the first message and deployment configuration data. The deployment configuration data comprises digital data used to deploy the one or more blockchain nodes to the target cluster. A modified chart template is generated based at least in part on the second message and a chart template. The chart template comprises a collection of files that describe a related set of resources that are specific to the blockchain protocol included in the request. The modified chart template is deployed to the target cluster.

Claims (50)

1. A method comprising:

receiving a request to deploy one or more blockchain nodes in a blockchain network, the request including one or more parameters of a plurality of parameters, the one or more parameters comprising parameters that indicate:

one or more cloud infrastructure providers,

one or more regions, and

a blockchain protocol;

wherein each blockchain node of the one or more blockchain nodes:

comprises programmatic instructions that implement the blockchain protocol, and

stores a copy of a blockchain that is maintained by the blockchain network;

using a mapping that associates each parameter of the plurality of parameters with a subset of cluster configuration data, generating a first message based on the one or more parameters received in the request, the first message comprising:

application programming interface (API) information for a target cluster,

authentication information for the target cluster, and

additional configuration information for the target cluster;

generating a second message based at least in part on the first message and deployment configuration data, the deployment configuration data comprising digital data used to deploy the one or more blockchain nodes to the target cluster;

generating a modified chart template based at least in part on the second message and a chart template, the chart template comprising a collection of files that describe a related set of resources that are specific to the blockchain protocol included in the request; and

transmitting the modified chart template to a container management system to cause deploying the one or more blockchain nodes to the target cluster.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more parameters include a name and a network.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first message comprises a type of the blockchain protocol, a version of the blockchain protocol, an operation type, a unique identifier, configuration parameters for all cluster regions, configuration parameters for a target cluster, and configuration parameters for the blockchain protocol.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second message comprises the first message and the deployment configuration data.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the deployment configuration data includes cluster path data, a chart repository URL and backend data.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the chart template is identified by a chart repository URL included in the deployment configuration data and the blockchain protocol.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the modified chart template includes a set of values files, the set of values files generated based on the second message.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the target cluster comprises a Kubernetes cluster.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the deploying is performed by a container management system based at least in part on the modified helm chart.

10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first message additionally comprises API information for a secondary cluster, authentication information for the secondary cluster and additional configuration information for the secondary cluster, further comprising: deploying the modified chart template to the secondary cluster.

11. A computer system comprising:

one or more processors;

one or more memories storing instructions which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause:

receiving a request to deploy one or more blockchain nodes in a blockchain network, the request including one or more parameters of a plurality of parameters, the one or more parameters comprising parameters that indicate:

one or more cloud infrastructure providers,

one or more regions, and

a blockchain protocol;

wherein each blockchain node of the one or more blockchain nodes:

comprises programmatic instructions that implement the blockchain protocol, and

stores a copy of a blockchain that is maintained by the blockchain network;

using a mapping that associates each parameter of the plurality of parameters with a subset of cluster configuration data, generating a first message based on the one or more parameters received in the request, the first message comprising:

application programming interface (API) information for a target cluster,

authentication information for the target cluster, and

additional configuration information for the target cluster;

generating a second message based at least in part on the first message and deployment configuration data, the deployment configuration data comprising digital data used to deploy the one or more blockchain nodes to the target cluster;

generating a modified chart template based at least in part on the second message and a chart template, the chart template comprising a collection of files that describe a related set of resources that are specific to the blockchain protocol included in the request; and

transmitting the modified chart template to a container management system to cause deploying the one or more blockchain nodes to the target cluster.

12. The system of claim 11 , wherein the one or more parameters include a name and a network.

13. The system of claim 11 , wherein the first message comprises a type of the blockchain protocol, a version of the blockchain protocol, an operation type, a unique identifier, configuration parameters for all cluster regions, configuration parameters for a target cluster, and configuration parameters for the blockchain protocol.

14. The system of claim 11 , wherein the second message comprises the first message and the deployment configuration data.

15. The system of claim 11 , wherein the deployment configuration data includes cluster path data, a chart repository URL and backend data.

16. The system of claim 11 , wherein the chart template is identified by a chart repository URL included in the deployment configuration data and the blockchain protocol.

17. The system of claim 11 , wherein the modified chart template includes a set of values files, the set of values files generated based on the second message.

18. The system of claim 11 , wherein the target cluster comprises a Kubernetes cluster.

19. The system of claim 11 , wherein the deploying is performed by a container management system based at least in part on the modified helm chart.

20. The system of claim 11 , wherein the first message additionally comprises API information for a secondary cluster, authentication information for the secondary cluster and additional configuration information for the secondary cluster, further comprising: deploying the modified chart template to the secondary cluster.
