Claims (11)

1. A method of treating a disorder associated with chronic inflammation comprising administering to an individual in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition containing a therapeutically effective amount of isomyosmine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle therefor.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is from about 0.01 to about 50 mg/kg/day.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is from about 0.1 to about 25 mg/kg/day.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable salt is isomyosmine hydrochloride.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the disorder is a cancer.

6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the cancer is a human cervical cancer.

7. The method of claim 5 wherein the therapeutically effective amount of isomyosmine or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof modifies a tumor microenvironment by reducing the concentration of reactive oxygen species.

8. The method of claim 7 wherein the therapeutically effective amount of isomyosmine or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof modifies a tumor microenvironment by reducing the concentration of hydrogen peroxide.

9. The method of claim 1 wherein the method further comprises treating the individual with chemotherapy.

10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the disorder is fibrosis.

11. The method of claim 1 , wherein the disorder is asthma.
