Abstract

A vacuum adiabatic body includes a first plate; a second plate; a seal; a support; and an exhaust port, wherein an extension tab extending toward the third space to be coupled to the support is provided to at least one of the first and second plates, and the extension tab extends downward from an edge portion of the at least one of the first and second plates.

Claims (64)

1. A vacuum adiabatic body comprising:

a first plate;

a second plate;

a vacuum space provided between the first plate and the second plate; and

a support configured to maintain a distance between the first plate and the second plate, the support being disposed next to the first plate;

an extending part extending from the first plate;

wherein the first plate extending in a direction of a width of the vacuum space; and

the extending part extending in a direction of a height of the vacuum space such that movement of the support in a direction of the width of the vacuum space is limited, and

wherein the support includes at least two bars and a support plate connecting the at least two bars to each other such that the at least two bars are provided next to the first plate together,

wherein the extending part is disposed in a groove provided in the support plate.

2. A vacuum adiabatic body comprising:

a first plate;

a second plate;

a vacuum space provided between the first plate and the second plate; and

a support configured to maintain a distance between the first plate and the second plate, the support being disposed next to the first plate;

an extending part extending from the first plate;

wherein the first plate extending in a direction of a width of the vacuum space; and

the extending part extending in a direction of a height of the vacuum space such that movement of the support in a direction of the width of the vacuum space is limited, and

wherein the support includes adjacent two bars extending in a direction of the height of the vacuum space, and a support plate extending in a direction of the width of the vacuum space such that the support plate supports a gap between the adjacent two bars,

wherein the extending part contacts with the support plate in order to maintain a supporting structure of the support plate and the first plate.

3. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 2 , wherein the support plate covers both the adjacent two bars and the gap between the adjacent two bars.

4. A vacuum adiabatic body comprising:

a first plate;

a second plate;

a vacuum space provided between the first plate and the second plate;

a support configured to maintain a distance between the first plate and the second plate, the support being disposed next to the first plate; and

an extending part extending from the first plate;

wherein the support includes a support plate extending longer than a height of the vacuum space in a direction of a width of the vacuum space such that deformation of the first plate in a direction of the height of the vacuum space is reduced, and

wherein the first plate extending in a same direction as the support plate; and

the extending part extending in a direction of the height of the vacuum space such that movement of the support plate in a direction of the width of the vacuum space is limited,

wherein the extending part contacts with the support plate in order to maintain a supporting structure of the support plate and the first plate.

5. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 4 , wherein the support plate is provided in a plate shape, or in a lattice shape such that an area that the support plate contacts the first plate is decreased, thereby reducing heat transfer.

6. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 4 , wherein the extending part is disposed in a groove provided in the support plate.

7. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 6 , wherein the extending part is formed to protrude in a shape corresponding to the groove provided in the support plate.

8. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 6 , wherein the extending part is inserted into the groove provided in the support plate.

9. A vacuum adiabatic body comprising:

a first plate;

a second plate;

a vacuum space provided between the first plate and the second plate; and

a support configured to maintain a distance between the first plate and the second plate, the support being disposed next to the first plate; and

an extending part extending from the first plate,

wherein the support includes a bar that extends in a direction of a height of the vacuum space, the bar having a smaller width than a height, and

wherein the first plate extending in a direction of a width of the vacuum space; and

the extending part extending in a same direction as the bar such that movement of the bar in a direction of the width of the vacuum space is limited in order to reduce destruction of the bar,

wherein the extending part contacts with the bar.

10. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 9 , wherein the extending part is formed to protrude toward the height of the bar around the bar.

11. A vacuum adiabatic body comprising:

a first plate;

a second plate;

a vacuum space provided between the first plate and the second plate; and

a support configured to maintain a distance between the first plate and the second plate, the support being disposed next to the first plate; and

an extending part extending from the first plate,

wherein the first plate extending in a direction of a width of the vacuum space; and

the extending part extending in a direction of a height of the vacuum space such that movement of the support in a direction of the width of the vacuum space is limited,

wherein the support includes at least two bars and a support plate connecting the at least two bars to each other such that the at least two bars are provided next to the first plate together, and

wherein the extending part contacts with:

the support plate in order to maintain a supporting structure of the support plate and the first plate; or

one of the at least two bars in order to reduce destruction of the one of the at least two bars.

The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 11 , comprising a radiation resistance sheet configured to reduce heat radiation between the first and second plates through the vacuum space and being disposed next to the first plate, wherein the extending part is disposed to be spaced apart from the radiation resistance sheet to reduce a heat transfer from the first plate to the second plate via the radiation resistance sheet.

13. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 11 , wherein the extending part extends downward from an edge of the first plate.

14. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 11 , wherein the extending part is formed to protrude downward from any one place except from an edge portion of the first plate.

15. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 11 , wherein the support includes a fixing bracket contacting the extending part to support the first plate in order to maintain a supporting structure of the support and the first plate.

16. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 11 , wherein the extending part is formed in the planar first plate using a forming mold.

17. The vacuum adiabatic body of claim 11 , wherein a material of the support includes a resin or a material selected from the group consisting of PC, glass fiber PC, low outgassing PC, PPS, and LCP.
