Abstract

Disclosed herein are radiotherapy methods and systems that can display a workflow-oriented graphical user interface(s). In an embodiment, a method comprises presenting, by the server for display on a screen associated with a radiotherapy machine, a series of consecutive graphical user interfaces, wherein each graphical user interface displays one or more graphical components corresponding to one or more tasks of one or more stages of a patient's radiotherapy treatment; and when a user operating the pendant interacts with a first controller of the pendant, the radiotherapy machine adjusts at least one of its configurations; and when the user interacts with a second controller of the pendant, the server revises the graphical user interface corresponding to the user's input.

Claims (28)

1. A pendant having a processor in communication with a radiotherapy machine and a computer, the pendant comprising:

a first controller configured to adjust at least one configuration of the radiotherapy machine; and

a second controller configured to receive an input from a user, whereby when the computer receives the input, the computer revises a graphical user interface displayed on a gantry of the radiotherapy machine to cause the graphical user interface to transition from a first page to a second page, the first page and the second page each corresponding a respective stage of radiotherapy treatment.

2. The pendant of claim 1 , wherein the graphical user interface is displayed on a throat of the gantry.

3. The pendant of claim 1 , wherein the second controller is a touch pad.

4. The pendant of claim 1 , wherein the first controller is a button.

5. The pendant of claim 1 , wherein the second controller is further configured to adjust a camera associated with the radiotherapy machine.

6. The pendant of claim 1 , wherein adjusting at least one configuration of the radiotherapy machine corresponds to adjusting at least one of an orientation or a position of at least one of a couch or the gantry of the radiotherapy machine.

7. A method comprising:

presenting, by a server for display on a screen associated with a radiotherapy machine, a series of consecutive graphical user interfaces, wherein each graphical user interface displays one or more graphical components corresponding to one or more tasks of one or more stages of a patient's radiotherapy treatment; and

when a user operating a pendant interacts with a first controller of the pendant, the radiotherapy machine adjusts at least one of its configurations; and

when the user interacts with a second controller of the pendant, the server revises the graphical user interface corresponding to the user's input to cause the screen to transition from a first graphical user interface of the series of consecutive graphical user interfaces to a second graphical user interface of the series of consecutive graphical user interfaces.

8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the second controller comprises a touch pad.

9. The method of claim 7 , wherein the first controller comprises at least one button.

10. The method of claim 7 , wherein the server adjusts at least one configuration of the radiotherapy machine based on an input received from the pendant.

11. The method of claim 7 , wherein revising the graphical user interface corresponding to the user's input comprises displaying information associated with at least one of the one or more tasks on the graphical user interface.

12. The method of claim 7 , wherein revising the graphical user interface corresponding to the user's input comprises displaying adjustment data associated with a couch of the radiotherapy machine.

13. The method of claim 12 , wherein the server revises the displayed adjustment data based on the user interacting with the pendant to adjust the couch.

14. The method of claim 7 , wherein revising the graphical user interface corresponding to the user's input comprises displaying adjustment data associated with the patient.

15. The method of claim 7 , wherein the second controller is further configured to adjust a camera associated with the radiotherapy machine.

16. A system comprising:

a server comprising a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable medium containing instructions that when executed by the processor causes the processor to perform operations comprising:

display on a screen associated with a radiotherapy machine, a series of consecutive graphical user interfaces, wherein each graphical user interface displays one or more graphical components corresponding to one or more tasks of one or more stages of a patient's radiotherapy treatment; and

when a user actuates a first controller of a pendant, the radiotherapy machine adjusts at least one of its couch or gantry; and

when the user actuates a second controller of the pendant, the server revises the graphical user interface corresponding to the user's input to cause the screen to transition from a first graphical user interface of the series of consecutive graphical user interfaces to a second graphical user interface of the series of consecutive graphical user interfaces.

17. The system of claim 16 , wherein the second controller comprises a touch pad.

18. The system of claim 16 , wherein the first controller comprises at least one button.

19. The system of claim 16 , wherein the server adjusts at least one configuration of the radiotherapy machine based on an input received from the pendant.
