Abstract

A light-emitting device and a method of manufacturing the same. The light-emitting device includes a body portion, and a light-emitting portion arranged in the body portion and configured to emit light to the outside. The light-emitting portion includes a plurality of pixels. At least two of the pixels are configured to emit pieces of light having different wavelengths from each other.

Claims (28)

1. A light-emitting device comprising:

a body portion; and

a light-emitting portion arranged in the body portion and configured to emit light to outside,

wherein:

the light-emitting portion comprises:

a plurality of pixels; and

a pixel defining layer defining an emission area of each of the plurality of pixels;

all of the pixels in the light-emitting portion emit light of a same color;

at least two of the plurality of pixels emit pieces of light having different wavelengths from each other; and

an auxiliary layer of an intermediate layer in each of the plurality of pixels is arranged on at least two pixels adjacent to each other among the plurality of pixels and the pixel defining layer between adjacent pixels.

2. The light-emitting device of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of pixels is further configured to emit at least one of white light, red light, green light, and blue light.

3. The light-emitting device of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of pixels comprises:

a pixel electrode;

an opposite electrode arranged to face the pixel electrode; and

an emission layer between the pixel electrode and the opposite electrode, and

the auxiliary layer is arranged between the emission layer and the pixel electrode or between the emission layer and the opposite electrode.

4. The light-emitting device of claim 3 , wherein at least two of the plurality of pixels have different intervals between the pixel electrode and the opposite electrode.

5. The light-emitting device of claim 1 , wherein thicknesses of the auxiliary layers of the two pixels adjacent to each other among the plurality of pixels are different from each other.

6. The light-emitting device of claim 1 , wherein thicknesses of the auxiliary layers of the two or more pixels adjacent to each other among the plurality of pixels are different from each other.

7. The light-emitting device of claim 1 , wherein:

the auxiliary layer comprises:

a first auxiliary layer arranged on some of the plurality of pixels; and

a second auxiliary layer arranged on others of the plurality of pixels; and

at least a portion of the first auxiliary layer overlaps at least a portion of the second auxiliary layer.

8. The light-emitting device of claim 7 , wherein a first line connecting centers of the first auxiliary layer and the second auxiliary layer arranged on a plane intersects with a second line connecting centers of adjacent pixels among the plurality of pixels.

9. The light-emitting device of claim 3 , wherein at least some of the plurality of pixels form one pixel group, and a total thickness of the intermediate layers arranged in the one pixel group is greatest in the pixel arranged at a center of the one pixel group.

10. The light-emitting device of claim 9 , wherein the total thickness of the intermediate layers arranged in the one pixel group decreases from the pixel arranged at the center of the one pixel group to a pixel arranged at an outer side of the one pixel group.

11. The light-emitting device of claim 3 , wherein thicknesses of at least two intermediate layers in the plurality of pixels are different from each other.
