Abstract

The present invention relates to a micro puree machine that includes a blade assembly, a lid assembly, and a clip mechanism. The blade assembly has a central support hub, a blade, and an undercut. The lid assembly is configured to cooperate with a bowl assembly and includes a lid and a clip mechanism. The clip mechanism is movable between a first position and a second position and cooperates with the undercut at times the clip mechanism is the in the first position. The blade assembly is retained in the lid assembly at times the clip mechanism is in or near the first position, and the blade assembly is disengaged from the undercut and removable from the lid assembly at times the clip mechanism is in or near the second position.

Claims (27)

1. A micro puree machine, comprising:

a blade assembly having a central support hub, at least one blade, and an undercut extending at least partially around a circumference of the central support hub;

a lid assembly configured to cooperate with a bowl assembly, the lid assembly including a lid and a clip mechanism, the lid having an aperture that defines an axis, the aperture configured for receipt of at least a portion of the central support hub of the blade assembly;

wherein the clip mechanism is movable between a first position, in which at least a portion of the clip mechanism cooperates with the undercut to retain the blade assembly in the lid assembly, and a second position, in which the at least a portion of the clip mechanism is disengaged from the undercut and the blade assembly is removable from the lid assembly; and

wherein the lid assembly further includes a release mechanism positionable relative to the clip mechanism, the release mechanism including a release lever arm that extends radially outward from the axis.

2. The micro puree machine of claim 1 , wherein the clip mechanism is spring biased toward the axis.

3. The micro puree machine of claim 1 , wherein the undercut has a surface that extends radially outward at an approximately 90-degree angle relative to the axis of the aperture of the lid assembly.

4. The micro puree machine of claim 3 , wherein the clip mechanism includes an upper retention surface that is angled such that it engages with the surface of the undercut.

5. The micro puree machine of claim 1 , wherein the at least a portion of the clip mechanism is configured to cooperate with the undercut when the clip mechanism is between the first and second positions.

6. The micro puree machine of claim 1 , wherein the release lever arm includes a primary lever engagement surface configured to cooperate with the clip mechanism such that rotation of the release lever arm imparts motion to the clip mechanism between the first and second positions.

7. The micro puree machine of claim 1 , wherein the bowl assembly includes a first outer bowl and second inner beaker configured to be positioned inside the first outer bowl.

8. The micro puree machine of claim 1 , wherein the at least one blade includes a cutting blade and a mixing blade.

9. The micro puree machine of claim 1 , wherein the at least one blade includes at least two cutting blades and at least two mixing blades.

10. The micro puree machine of claim 1 , wherein the central support hub includes a power shaft coupling configured to receive a drive shaft of the micro puree machine.

11. A micro puree machine, comprising:

a blade assembly having a central support hub, at least one blade, and an undercut extending at least partially around a circumference of the central support hub;

a lid assembly configured to cooperate with a bowl assembly, the lid assembly including a clip mechanism, the lid assembly having an aperture that defines an axis, the aperture configured for receipt of at least a portion of the central support hub of the blade assembly;

wherein the clip mechanism is movable between a first position, in which at least a portion of the clip mechanism cooperates with the undercut to retain the blade assembly in the lid assembly, and a second position, in which the at least a portion of the clip mechanism is disengaged from the undercut and the blade assembly is removable from the lid assembly; and

wherein the undercut has a surface that extends radially outward at an approximately 90-degree angle relative to the axis of the aperture of the lid assembly, and the clip mechanism includes an upper retention surface that is angled such that it engages with the surface of the undercut.

12. The micro puree machine of claim 11 , wherein the clip mechanism is spring biased toward the axis.

13. The micro puree machine of claim 11 , wherein the at least a portion of the clip mechanism is configured to cooperate with the undercut when the clip mechanism is between the first and second positions.

14. The micro puree machine of claim 11 , wherein the lid assembly further includes a release mechanism positionable relative to the clip mechanism, the release mechanism including a release lever arm that extends radially outward from the axis.

15. The micro puree machine of claim 11 , wherein the release lever arm includes a primary lever engagement surface configured to cooperate with the clip mechanism such that rotation of the release lever arm imparts motion to the clip mechanism between the first and second positions.

16. The micro puree machine of claim 11 , wherein the bowl assembly includes a first outer bowl and second inner beaker configured to be positioned inside the first outer bowl.

17. The micro puree machine of claim 11 , wherein the at least one blade includes a cutting blade and a mixing blade.

18. The micro puree machine of claim 11 , wherein the at least one blade includes at least two cutting blades and at least two mixing blades.

19. The micro puree machine of claim 11 , wherein the central support hub includes a power shaft coupling configured to receive a drive shaft of the micro puree machine.
