Abstract

Various embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to transacting in advance. More specifically, various embodiments relate to detecting a mobile computing device of a user within a proximity of a banking location; receiving, via the mobile application, an indication of a type of transaction to be conducted; and directing, via the mobile application, the user to an area of the banking location based on the type of transaction to complete the transaction.

Claims (53)

1. A method comprising:

requesting, by a computing system, a user to provide authentication information for one or more transactions;

receiving the authentication information and transaction information for the one or more transactions;

sending, to a computing device associated with the user, a transaction identifier based on the transaction information;

scanning, by a scanner associated with the computing system, the transaction identifier from the computing device;

decoding the transaction identifier to identify the transaction information; and

in response to decoding the transaction identifier, sending a message to the computing device that directs the user to an area within a banking location based at least in part on the transaction information identified by the transaction identifier.

2. The method of claim 1 , the method further comprising:

in response to scanning the transaction identifier, placing the one or more transactions into a queue.

3. The method of claim 2 , the method further comprising:

authenticating the user, wherein placing the one or more transactions into the queue occurs upon authentication.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the area of the banking location includes one or more of a kiosk, a window teller, or an automated teller machine.

5. The method of claim 1 , the method further comprising:

determining an identity of the user based on the transaction identifier or the computing device.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the transaction identifier is a quick response code, wherein the quick response code further identifies the user, a device that pre-staged the one or more transactions, and user preferences.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the computing device is detected using geofencing or network proximity techniques.

8. The method of claim 1 , the method further comprising:

surveying the banking location using video cameras or weight sensors; and

determining estimated wait times for each area of the banking location.

9. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by a computing system, cause the computing system to perform operations comprising:

requesting, by a computing system, a user to provide authentication information for one or more transactions;

receiving the authentication information and transaction information for the one or more transactions;

sending, to a computing device associated with the user, a transaction identifier based on the transaction information;

scanning, by a scanner associated with the computing system, the transaction identifier from the computing device;

decoding the transaction identifier to identify the transaction information; and

in response to decoding the transaction identifier, sending a message to the computing device that directs the user to an area within a banking location based at least in part on the transaction information identified by the transaction identifier.

10. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise:

in response to scanning the transaction identifier, placing the one or more transactions into a queue.

11. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 10 , wherein the operations further comprise:

authenticating the user, wherein placing the one or more transactions into the queue occurs upon authentication.

12. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 9 , wherein the area of the banking location includes one or more of a kiosk, a window teller, or an automated teller machine.

13. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise:

determining an identity of the user based on the transaction identifier or the computing device.

14. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 9 , wherein the transaction identifier is a quick response code, wherein the quick response code further identifies the user, a device that pre-staged the one or more transactions, and user preferences.

15. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 9 , wherein the computing device is detected using geofencing or network proximity techniques.

16. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise:

surveying the banking location using video cameras or weight sensors; and

determining estimated wait times for each area of the banking location.

17. A computing system comprising:

one or more processors; and

one or more memories storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing system to perform a process comprising:

requesting, by a computing system, a user to provide authentication information for one or more transactions;

receiving the authentication information and transaction information for the one or more transactions;

sending, to a computing device associated with the user, a transaction identifier based on the transaction information;

scanning, by a scanner associated with the computing system, the transaction identifier from the computing device;

decoding the transaction identifier to identify the transaction information; and

in response to decoding the transaction identifier, sending a message to the computing device that directs the user to an area within a banking location based at least in part on the transaction information identified by the transaction identifier.

18. The computing system according to claim 17 , wherein the process further comprises:

in response to scanning the transaction identifier, placing the one or more transactions into a queue.

19. The computing system according to claim 18 , wherein the process further comprises:

authenticating the user, wherein placing the one or more transactions into the queue occurs upon authentication.

20. The computing system according to claim 17 , wherein the process further comprises:

determining an identity of the user based on the transaction identifier or the computing device.
