Dynamic Automated Real-Time Management of Virtual Interviews between Job Providers and Qualified Job Seekers

1 . A method of automatically managing virtual real-time online interviews between a job provider and qualified job seekers, the method comprising:

receiving, from a first computer system of a job provider representative, a request to automatically enable virtual real-time online interviews for a job listing with predetermined criteria between the job provider representative and job seekers having qualifications meeting the predetermined criteria;

responsive to receipt of the job provider interview request, automatically posting the job listing online;

responsive to a job seeker requesting, from a second computer system, an online interview for the posted job listing, automatically determining whether qualifications of the job seeker meet the predetermined criteria;

responsive to a positive determination, automatically placing the job seeker in a queue for interviewing with the job provider representative regarding the job listing;

receiving a request, from the first computer system of the job provider representative, to activate a virtual real-time online interview session between an interviewer computer system and the second computer system of the job seeker in the queue; and

responsive to receipt of the activation request, activating an audio and visual connection between the interviewer computer system and the second computer system of the job seeker to conduct the virtual real-time online interview session.

2 . The method of claim 1 further comprising:

responsive to the job seeker requesting the online interview, providing a set of screener dquestions to the job seeker for responsive answers;

receiving the responsive answers from the job seeker; and

automatically including the responsive answers from the job seeker in the qualification of the job seeker for comparison with the predetermined criteria.

3 . The method of claim 1 further comprising:

maintaining a database of registered job seekers, each registered job seeker having qualifications; and

responsive to receipt of the job provider interview request, automatically identifying registered job seekers from the database that have qualifications that meet the predetermined criteria and providing invitations to a subset of the qualified registered job seekers to interview for the posted job listing.

4 . The method of claim 3 wherein the invitations provided to the subset of the qualified registered job seekers includes a link, which when selected by the job seeker, automatically submits the request for the online interview for the posted job listing.

5 . The method of claim 1 further comprising:

identifying the job seeker at a head of the queue as an on-deck job seeker;

providing the qualifications of the on-deck job seeker to the first computer system of the job provider representative for review; and

await a response from the job provider representative whether to interview the on-deck job seeker.

6 . The method of claim 5 further comprising:

timing the time between providing the qualification of the on-deck job seeker at the head of the queue and the response from the job provider representative; and

upon the time exceeding a predetermined threshold, removing the on-deck job seeker from the head of the queue.

7 . The method of claim 1 further comprising providing a queue wait status to each job seeker in the queue and to the job provider representative.

A non-transitory, computer program product for automatically managing virtual real-time online interviews between a job provider and qualified job seeker, the computer program product comprising a non-transitory, computer readable storage medium having program instructions embodied therewith, the program instructions processed by a processor to cause the device to perform operations comprising:

receiving, from a first computer system of a job provider representative, a request to automatically enable virtual real-time online interviews for a job listing with predetermined criteria between the job provider representative and job seekers having qualifications meeting the predetermined criteria;

responsive to receipt of the job provider interview request, automatically posting the job listing online;

responsive to a job seeker requesting, from a second computer system, an online interview for the posted job listing, automatically determining whether qualifications of the job seeker meet the predetermined criteria;

responsive to a positive determination, automatically placing the job seeker in a queue for interviewing with the job provider representative regarding the job listing;

receiving a request, from the first computer system of the job provider representative, to activate a virtual real-time online interview session between an interviewer computer system and the second computer system of the job seeker in the queue; and

responsive to receipt of the activation request, activating an audio and visual connection between the interviewer computer system and the second computer system of the job seeker to conduct the virtual real-time online interview session.

9 . The computer program product of claim 8 further comprising:

responsive to the job seeker requesting the online interview, providing a set of screener questions to the job seeker for responsive answers;

receiving the responsive answers from the job seeker; and

automatically including the responsive answers from the job seeker in the qualification of the job seeker for comparison with the predetermined criteria.

10 . The computer program product of claim 8 further comprising:

maintaining a database of registered job seekers, each registered job seeker having qualifications; and

responsive to receipt of the job provider interview request, automatically identifying registered job seekers from the database that have qualifications that meet the predetermined criteria and providing invitations to a subset of the qualified registered job seekers to interview for the posted job listing.

11 . The computer program product of claim 10 wherein the invitations provided to the subset of the qualified registered job seekers includes a link, which when selected by the job seeker, automatically submits the request for the online interview for the posted job listing.

12 . The computer program product of claim 8 further comprising:

identifying the job seeker at a head of the queue as an on-deck job seeker;

providing the qualifications of the on-deck job seeker to the first computer system of the job provider representative for review; and

await a response from the job provider representative whether to interview the on-deck job seeker.

13 . The computer program product of claim 12 further comprising:

timing the time between providing the qualification of the on-deck job seeker at the head of the queue and the response from the job provider representative; and

upon the time exceeding a predetermined threshold, removing the on-deck job seeker from the head of the queue.

14 . The computer program product of claim 8 further comprising providing a queue wait status to each job seeker in the queue and to the job provider representative.

15 . A data processing system for automatically managing virtual real-time online interviews between a job provider and qualified job seeker, the data processing system comprising:

a processor; and

a memory storing program instructions which when processed by the processor perform operations comprising:

receive, from a first computer system of a job provider representative, a request to automatically enable virtual real-time online interviews for a job listing with predetermined criteria between the job provider representative and job seekers having qualifications meeting the predetermined criteria;

responsive to receipt of the job provider interview request, automatically post the job listing online;

responsive to a job seeker requesting, from a second computer system, an online interview for the posted job listing, automatically determine whether qualifications of the job seeker meet the predetermined criteria;

responsive to a positive determination, automatically place the job seeker in a queue for interviewing with the job provider representative regarding the job listing;

receive a request, from the first computer system of the job provider representative, to activate a virtual real-time online interview session between an interviewer computer system and the second computer system of the job seeker in the queue; and

responsive to receipt of the activation request, activate an audio and visual connection between the interviewer computer system and the second computer system of the job seeker to conduct the virtual real-time online interview session.

16 . The data processing system of claim 15 wherein the instructions when processed by the processor further perform operations comprising:

responsive to the job seeker requesting the online interview, provide a set of screener questions to the job seeker for responsive answers;

receive the responsive answers from the job seeker; and

automatically include the responsive answers from the job seeker in the qualification of the job seeker for comparison with the predetermined criteria.

17 . The data processing system of claim 15 wherein the instructions when processed by the processor further perform operations comprising:

maintain a database of registered job seekers, each registered job seeker having qualifications; and

responsive to receipt of the job provider interview request, automatically identify registered job seekers from the database that have qualifications that meet the predetermined criteria and providing invitations to a subset of the qualified registered job seekers to interview for the posted job listing.

18 . The data processing system of claim 17 wherein the invitations provided to the subset of the qualified registered job seekers includes a link, which when selected by the job seeker, automatically submits the request for the online interview for the posted job listing.

19 . The data processing system of claim 15 wherein the instructions when processed by the processor further perform operations comprising:

identify the job seeker at a head of the queue as an on-deck job seeker;

provide the qualifications of the on-deck job seeker to the first computer system of the job provider representative for review; and

await a response from the job provider representative whether to interview the on-deck job seeker.

20 . The data processing system of claim 19 wherein the instructions when processed by the processor further perform operations comprising:

time the time between providing the qualification of the on-deck job seeker at the head of the queue and the response from the job provider representative; and

upon the time exceeding a predetermined threshold, remove the on-deck job seeker from the head of the queue.
