Abstract

The present invention provides a method for the prevention of the incidence of and/or a reduction in the duration of acute diarrhoea, particularly in travellers, said method comprising orally administering an oligosaccharide composition, in particular a non-digestible oligosaccharide, to a mammal.

1 . A method for the prevention of the incidence of and/or a reduction in the duration of acute diarrhoea comprising orally administering to a mammal an effective amount of an oligosaccharide composition.
