Abstract

A system may include one or more processors disposed within a management network, where the management network has computing resources dedicated to an end-user network. The end-user network may include agent instances and one or more servers associated with the end-user network. The one or more servers are operable to: (i) receive communications to the end-user network, and (ii) assign agent instances to service the communications. The one or more processors may be configured to perform one or more tasks. These tasks may include receiving data associated with the processes of the one or more servers, where the processes relate to the end-user network. The tasks may also include determining, based on a specification, an operation to be performed by the one or more servers, where the specification is defined by the end-user network and comprises a logical directive including at least one condition that, if satisfied by the received data, define the operation. The tasks may also include providing, to the one or more servers, the operation.

Claims (30)

1. A computing system comprising:

one or more processors disposed within a management network, wherein the management network has computing resources dedicated to an end-user network, the end-user network including agent instances and one or more servers associated therewith, wherein the one or more servers are operable to: (i) receive incoming communications, and (ii) assign one or more of the agent instances to service the incoming communications, and wherein the one or more processors are configured to performing tasks including:

receiving data associated with processes of the one or more servers, wherein a plurality of respective components of the data are each assigned a time to live (TTL) value based on at least one of a source type or a data type of a respective component of the plurality of respective components; and

determining, based on the received data, operations to be performed by the one or more servers, wherein during the determining, if the assigned TTL value of the respective component of the plurality of respective components of the data expires, the management network is configured to eliminate the respective component.

2. The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the tasks further include:

transmitting, to at least one of the agent instances or one or more servers, the operations, wherein respective operations of the transmitted operations are each assigned a TTL value based on at least one of an end destination type or a data type of the respective operation, and wherein during the transmitting, if the TTL value of the respective operation expires, the management network is configured to eliminate the respective operation.

3. The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the data type of the respective component is determined based on a header of the respective component.

4. The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the operations to be performed by the one or more servers are determined based on a specification that is defined by the end-user network, wherein the specification comprises logical directives, each logical directive of the logical directives including conditions that, if satisfied by the received data, define the operations.

5. The computing system of claim 4 , wherein for respective logical directive of the logical directives, if a component of the received data will fail to satisfy at least one condition associated with the respective logical directive, the management network is configured to prevent the respective logical directive from evaluating the component of the received data.

6. The computing system of claim 4 , wherein receiving data associated with the processes of the one or more servers involves the management network requesting, from a proxy server disposed on or associated with the end-user network, data associated with at least one logical directive from the logical directives.

7. The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more servers include at least one of: a workforce management server or a communication distributor server.

8. A computer-implemented method comprising:

receiving, by one or more processors disposed within a management network, data associated with processes of one or more servers in or associated with an end-user network, wherein a plurality of respective components of the data are each assigned a time to live (TTL) value based on at least one of a source type or a data type of a respective component of the plurality of respective components, wherein the management network has computing resources dedicated to the end-user network, wherein the end-user network includes agent instances, and wherein the one or more servers are operable to: (i) receive incoming communications, and (ii) assign one or more of the agent instances to service the incoming communications; and

determining, based on the received data, operations to be performed by the one or more servers, wherein during the determining, if the assigned TTL value of the respective component of the plurality of respective components of the data expires, the management network is configured to eliminate the respective component.

9. The computer-implemented method of claim 8 further comprising:

transmitting, to at least one of the agent instances or one or more servers, the operations, wherein respective operations of the operations are each assigned a TTL value based on at least one of an end destination type or a data type of the respective operation, and wherein during the transmitting, if the TTL value of the respective operation expires, the management network is configured to eliminate the respective operation.

10. The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , wherein the data type of the respective component is determined based on a header of the respective component.

11. The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , wherein the operations to be performed by the one or more servers are determined based on a specification that is defined by the end-user network, wherein the specification comprises logical directives, each logical directive of the logical directives including conditions that, if satisfied by the received data, define the operations.

12. The computer-implemented method of claim 11 , wherein for respective logical directives of the logical directives, if a component of the received data will fail to satisfy at least one condition associated with the respective logical directive, the management network is configured to prevent the respective logical directive from evaluating the component of the received data.

13. The computer-implemented method of claim 11 , wherein receiving data associated with the processes of the one or more servers involves the management network requesting, from a proxy server disposed on the end-user network, data associated with at least one logical directive from the logical directives.

14. The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , wherein the one or more servers include at least one of: a workforce management server or a communication distributor server.

15. An article of manufacture including a non-transitory computer-readable medium, having stored thereon program instructions that, upon execution by one or more processors disposed within a management network, cause the one or more processors to perform tasks comprising:

receiving data associated with processes of one or more servers in or associated with an end-user network, wherein a plurality of respective components of the data are each assigned a time to live (TTL) value based on at least one of a source type or a data type of a respective component of the plurality of respective components, wherein the management network has computing resources dedicated to the end-user network, wherein the end-user network includes agent instances, wherein the one or more servers are operable to: (i) receive incoming communications, and (ii) assign one or more of the agent instances to service the incoming communications;

determining, based on the received data, operations to be performed by the one or more servers, wherein during the determining, if the assigned TTL value of the respective component of the plurality of respective components of the data expires, the management network is configured to eliminate the respective component.

16. The article of manufacture of claim 15 , wherein the tasks further comprise:

transmitting, to at least one of the agent instances or one or more servers, the operations, wherein respective operations of the operations are each assigned a TTL value based on at least one of an end destination type or a data type of the respective operation, and wherein during the transmitting, if the TTL value of the respective operation expires, the management network is configured to eliminate the respective operation.

17. The article of manufacture of claim 15 , wherein the data type of the respective component is determined based on a header of the respective component.

18. The article of manufacture of claim 15 , wherein the operations to be performed by the one or more servers are determined based on a specification that is defined by the end-user network, wherein the specification comprises logical directives, each logical directive of the logical directives including conditions that, if satisfied by the received data, define the operations.

19. The article of manufacture of claim 18 , wherein for each respective logical directive of the logical directives, if a component of the received data will fail to satisfy at least one condition associated with the respective logical directive, the management network is configured to prevent the respective logical directive from evaluating the component of the received data.

20. The article of manufacture of claim 18 , wherein receiving data associated with the processes of the one or more servers involves the management network requesting, from a proxy server disposed on the end-user network, data associated with at least one logical directive from the logical directives.
