Abstract

A method, an equipment and a system for handing over a cell in a communication system supporting carrier aggregation. The method includes: when a terminal in the communication system moves to the edge of the currently serving cell, the terminal selects one or more neighbor cells from one or more neighbor cells as measurement objects according to the carrier aggregation manner of the one or more neighbor cells; the terminal measures the capabilities of the measurement objects, and obtains one or more measurement results; and the terminal sends a source base station which currently serving the terminal one or more measurement results as capability measurement reports of the one or more neighbor cells. Also provided are an equipment for handing over a cell in a communication system supporting carrier aggregation, a terminal including the said equipment and a communication system including the said terminal.

Claims (19)

1. An electronic device for wireless communication, comprising:

circuitry including a processor and a memory, and configured to

receive a measurement report of one or more neighbor cells from a terminal device served by the electronic device,

wherein the measurement report includes measurement results of the one or more neighbor cells;

determine whether carrier aggregation manners of one or more candidate base stations corresponding to the one or more neighbor cells are consecutive or non-consecutive,

wherein the carrier aggregation manners of the one or more candidate base stations are determined to be consecutive when the one or more candidate base stations operate in a same frequency band, and

wherein the carrier aggregation manners of the one or more candidate base stations are determined to be non-consecutive when the one or more candidate base stations do not operate in the same frequency band; and

determine one or more cells to be accessed from the one or more neighbor cells based on the measurement report and whether the carrier aggregation manners of the one or more candidate base stations corresponding to the one or more neighbor cells are determined to be consecutive or non-consecutive.

2. The electronic device for wireless communication according to claim 1 , wherein the circuitry is further configured to initiate a handover of the terminal device from the electronic device to one of the candidate base stations corresponding to the determined one or more cells to be accessed.

3. The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the electronic device is implemented as a base station.

4. A wireless communication method, the method comprising:

receiving a measurement report of one or more neighbor cells from a terminal device served by the electronic device, wherein the measurement report includes measurement results of the one or more neighbor cells;

whether carrier aggregation manners of one or more candidate base stations corresponding to the one or more neighbor cells are consecutive or non-consecutive,

wherein the carrier aggregation manners of the one or more candidate base stations are determined to be consecutive when the one or more candidate base stations operate in a same frequency band, and

wherein the carrier aggregation manners of the one or more candidate base stations are determined to be non-consecutive when the one or more candidate base stations do not operate in the same frequency band; and

determining one or more cells to be accessed from the one or more neighbor cells based on the measurement report and whether the carrier aggregation manners of the candidate base stations corresponding to the one or more neighbor cells are determined to be consecutive or non-consecutive.

5. The wireless communication method according to claim 4 , further comprising:

initiating a handover of the terminal device from the electronic device to one of the candidate base stations corresponding to the determined one or more cells to be accessed.

6. The wireless communication method according to claim 4 , wherein the receiving and determining are performed at a base station.
