Abstract

Improved systems and devices for medical imaging distribution are provided. A medical imaging order may be received from a medical facility that includes medical imaging. A configuration may be selected and applied based on a body site and an urgency field associated with the order that defines queueing rules for the medical imaging order. Utilization factors for queues associated with radiologists may also be determined. The configuration and the utilization factors may be used to determine a subset of queues associated with a subset of radiologists. The subset of queues may be prioritized based on certain requirements, such as how many medical imaging reports a particular radiologist is required to review, how many medical imaging reports are required to be allocated to a particular radiologist, and the like. The highest prioritized queue may be selected and the medical imaging order may be transmitted to the radiologist associated with that queue.

Claims (64)

one or more processing devices communicatively couplable to one or more servers and a plurality of nodes via one or more networks; and

memory communicatively coupled to the one or more processing devices, the memory storing instructions which when executed by the one or more processing devices, cause the one or more processing devices to perform operations comprising:

populating a database with a plurality of data files having a plurality of data fields and a plurality of attributes;

receiving, from a communication device at a node of the plurality of nodes, a request for a subset of the plurality of data files, wherein the request includes input specifying at least one data field of the plurality of data fields;

querying the database with the at least one data field to generate the subset of the plurality of data files;

obtaining a device attribute from the communication device;

filtering the subset of the plurality of data files by comparing the device attribute to the plurality of attributes of the subset of the plurality of data files to generate a filtered subset of the plurality of data files;

transmitting the filtered subset of the plurality of data files to the communication device;

mining a remote system that is associated with at least one data file of the subset of the plurality of data files for data that is indicative of a progression of an imaging process of an imaging device;

based at least in part on selected data from the mining, monitoring the progression of the imaging process of the imaging device and determining a progression status of the imaging process; and

transmitting, to the communication device, an indication of the progression status.

2. The system as recited in claim 1 , the operations further comprising:

receiving, from a computing device at a second node of the plurality of nodes, an imaging order including a plurality of specifications, wherein the database is further queried with the plurality of specifications to generate the subset of the plurality of data files.

3. The system as recited in claim 2 , the operations further comprising:

receiving a selection of a data file of the subset of the plurality of data files; and

writing a data entry to the selected data file, wherein the data entry includes at least one identifier associated with the communication device.

4. The system as recited in claim 3 , the operations further comprising:

determining a server associated with the selected data file; and

transmitting the data entry to the server.

5. The system as recited in claim 4 , where the plurality of data files are associated with a plurality of imaging devices.

6. The system as recited in claim 4 , where the device attribute is associated with a hardware element of the communication device.

7. The system as recited in claim 4 , where the device attribute corresponds to a location associated with the communication device.

8. One or more non-transitory, computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processing devices, cause the one or more processing devices to perform operations comprising:

populating a database with a plurality of data files having a plurality of data fields and a plurality of attributes;

receiving, from a communication device at a node of a plurality of nodes, a request for a subset of the plurality of data files, wherein the request includes input specifying at least one data field of the plurality of data fields;

querying the database with the at least one data field to generate the subset of the plurality of data files;

obtaining a device attribute from the communication device;

filtering the subset of the plurality of data files by comparing the device attribute to the plurality of attributes of the subset of the plurality of data files to generate a filtered subset of the plurality of data files;

transmitting the filtered subset of the plurality of data files to the communication device;

mining a remote system that is associated with at least one data file of the subset of the plurality of data files for data that is indicative of a progression of an imaging process of an imaging device;

based at least in part on selected data from the mining, monitoring the progression of the imaging process of the imaging device and determining a progression status of the imaging process; and

transmitting, to the communication device, an indication of the progression status.

9. The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media as recited in claim 8 , the operations further comprising:

receiving, from a computing device at a second node of the plurality of nodes, an imaging order including a plurality of specifications, wherein the database is further queried with the plurality of specifications to generate the subset of the plurality of data files.

10. The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media as recited in claim 9 , the operations further comprising:

receiving a selection of a data file of the subset of the plurality of data files; and

writing a data entry to the selected data file, wherein the data entry includes at least one identifier associated with the communication device.

11. The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media as recited in claim 10 , the operations further comprising:

determining a server associated with the selected data file; and

transmitting the data entry to the server.

12. The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media as recited in claim 11 , where the plurality of data files are associated with a plurality of imaging devices.

13. The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media as recited in claim 11 , where the device attribute is associated with a hardware element of the communication device.

14. The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media as recited in claim 11 , where the device attribute corresponds to a location associated with the communication device.

15. A method comprising:

populating a database with a plurality of data files having a plurality of data fields and a plurality of attributes;

receiving, from a communication device at a node of a plurality of nodes, a request for a subset of the plurality of data files, wherein the request includes input specifying at least one data field of the plurality of data fields;

querying the database with the at least one data field to generate the subset of the plurality of data files;

obtaining a device attribute from the communication device;

filtering the subset of the plurality of data files by comparing the device attribute to the plurality of attributes of the subset of the plurality of data files to generate a filtered subset of the plurality of data files;
