Abstract

An adapter for a trailer coupler assembly includes an elongated riser member configured to be removably mounted to a vertical channel of a trailer coupler. The riser member has a transverse cross-section generally in the shape of an I-beam having a first channel portion and an opposing second channel portion. The first channel portion includes a generally U-shaped transverse cross-section and is configured to be removably mounted to a vertical channel of a trailer coupler assembly at one of a plurality of longitudinal positions along a length of the vertical channel of the trailer coupler assembly. The opposing second channel portion includes a generally U-shaped transverse cross-section configured to hold a trailer coupler.
