Abstract

A power tool ( 100 ) comprises a motor ( 110 ) operably driving a tool bit ( 119 ), a tool body ( 101 ) housing the motor ( 110 ), a handle ( 109 ) coupled to the tool body ( 101 ), and at least two battery mount parts ( 160 A, 160 B) defined on the handle ( 109 ) and/or the tool body ( 101 ). Each of the battery mount parts ( 160 A, 160 B) comprises a battery engaging part ( 161 ) configured to detachably engage with battery packs ( 170 A, 170 B) by sliding the battery packs ( 170 A, 170 B) relative to the battery engaging part ( 161 ) in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the tool bit ( 119 ). In a state in which at least one of the battery packs ( 170 A, 170 B) is mounted on at least one of the battery mount parts ( 160 A, 160 B), a length of the mounted battery in a driving axis extending direction is shorter than a length of the mounted battery in a cross direction.

Claims (51)

1. A power tool which at least drives a detachably attached tool bit reciprocally along a driving axis of the tool bit, comprising:

a motor configured to generate a rotational output that is operationally output to at least reciprocally drive the tool bit,

a tool body which houses the motor,

in a state in which at least one of the batteries is mounted on at least one of the battery mount parts, a length of the mounted battery in the driving axis extending direction is shorter than a length of the mounted battery in the cross direction.

2. The power tool according to claim 1 , wherein a plurality of at least two of the battery mount parts are aligned in the driving axis extending direction.

3. The power tool according to claim 2 , wherein the battery engaging parts are configured such that the batteries are respectively slidable from the same side of the tool body with respect to the cross direction to be respectively engaged with the battery engaging parts.

4. The power tool according to claim 3 , wherein at least two of the battery mount parts are disposed on a side opposite to the tool bit with respect to the motor in the driving axis extending direction.

5. The power tool according to claim 4 , wherein, when the batteries are respectively mounted on the battery mount parts, a lower surface of the batteries is flush with a lower surface of the tool body.

6. The power tool according to claim 5 , wherein each of the battery mount parts comprises an elastic member arranged to protrude toward and contact the one of the batteries when mounted on the battery mount part.

7. The power tool according to claim 6 , wherein:

at least a first end side of the handle in the handle extending direction is connected to the tool body, and

at least two of the battery mount parts are arranged on a second end side of the handle in the handle extending direction.

8. The power tool according to claim 7 , wherein at least two of the battery mount parts are provided on the tool body on one side with respect to the handle extending direction.

9. The power tool according to claim 8 , wherein:

a first end side of the grip portion is connected to the tool body,

a reinforcing member connects a second end side of the grip portion with the tool body, and

at least two of the battery mount parts are arranged on the reinforcing member.

10. The power tool according to claim 1 , wherein the battery engaging parts are configured such that the batteries are respectively slidable from the same side of the tool body with respect to the cross direction to be respectively engaged with the battery engaging parts.

11. The power tool according to claim 1 , wherein at least two of the battery mount parts are disposed on a side opposite to the tool bit with respect to the motor in the driving axis extending direction.

12. The power tool according to claim 1 , wherein, when the batteries are respectively mounted on the battery mount parts, a lower surface of the batteries is flush with a lower surface of the tool body.

13. The power tool according to claim 1 , wherein each of the battery mount parts comprises an elastic member arranged to protrude and contact the one of the batteries when mounted on the battery mount part.

14. The power tool according to claim 1 , wherein at least a first end side of the handle in the handle extending direction is connected to the tool body, and

at least two of the battery mount parts are arranged on a second end side of the handle in the handle extending direction.

15. The power tool according to claim 14 , wherein:

a first end side of the grip portion is connected to the tool body, and
