38 . Compound IA of claim 37 admixed with 200 ppm or less, 100 ppm or less, 50 ppm or less, 25 ppm or less, 10 ppm or less, 5 ppm or less, 2.5 ppm or less of 6,7-dimethoxy-quinoline-4-ol.
39 . Compound IB which is essentially free of contaminants or byproducts.
40 . Compound IB of claim 39 admixed with 200 ppm or less of contaminants or byproducts.
41 . Compound IB of claim 39 , wherein the contaminant or byproduct is 6,7-dimethoxy-quinoline-4-ol.
42 . Compound IB of claim 41 admixed with 200 ppm or less, 100 ppm or less, 50 ppm or less, 25 ppm or less, 10 ppm or less, 5 ppm or less, 2.5 ppm or less of 6,7-dimethoxy-quinoline-4-ol.
43 . Compound IB of claim 42 , wherein Compound IB is crystalline.
44 . Compound IB of claim 43 , wherein Compound IB is in form N−1.
45 . Compound IB of claim 43 , wherein Compound IB is in form N−2.
