Abstract

Channel state information (CSI) reporting may be used for wireless communications. CSI reporting may be activated or deactivated. During the activation of CSI reporting and based on one or more criteria, a scheduled uplink transmission may be selected.

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device, first downlink control information (DCI) indicating activation of semi-persistent channel state information (SP CSI) reporting;

determining, based on the first DCI, a first scheduled transmission of at least one SP CSI report;

receiving second DCI indicating an uplink grant of a second scheduled transmission of at least one transport block; and

based on at least one time resource indicated by the uplink grant and based on a determination that the first scheduled transmission overlaps in time with the second scheduled transmission:

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising validating the activation of SP CSI reporting, wherein the validating is based on:

a first field, of the first DCI, being equal to a first value; and

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein a time period in which the first scheduled transmission and the second scheduled transmission are overlapped comprises at least one of:

an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing symbol;

a slot; or

a subframe.

9. The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving third DCI indicating deactivation of SP CSI reporting.

10. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

after the dropping the first scheduled transmission, transmitting at least one SP CSI report.

11. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one time resource comprises at least one of:

a first time occupancy associated with the first scheduled transmission of the at least one SP CSI report; or

a second time occupancy associated with the second scheduled transmission of the at least one transport block.

12. A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device, first downlink control information (DCI) indicating activation of semi-persistent channel state information (SP CSI) reporting;

receiving second DCI indicating an uplink grant of a scheduled transmission of at least one transport block; and

based on at least one timing condition and based on a determination that the scheduled transmission of the at least one transport block overlaps in time with a scheduled transmission of at least one SP CSI report:

dropping the scheduled transmission of the at least one SP CSI report; and

transmitting, based on a transmission power, the at least one transport block via at least one resource indicated by the uplink grant.

an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing symbol;

a slot; or

a subframe.

15. The method of claim 12 , wherein the at least one timing condition comprises at least one of:

a timing of a first time occupancy associated with the scheduled transmission of the at least one SP CSI report; or

a timing of a second time occupancy associated with the scheduled transmission of the at least one transport block.

16. A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive first downlink control information (DCI) indicating activation of semi-persistent channel state information (SP CSI) reporting;

determine, based on the first DCI, a first scheduled transmission of at least one SP CSI report;

receive second DCI indicating an uplink grant of a second scheduled transmission of at least one transport block; and

based on at least one time resource indicated by the uplink grant and based on a determination that the first scheduled transmission overlaps in time with the second scheduled transmission:

drop the first scheduled transmission; and

transmit, based on a transmission power, the at least one transport block via at least one resource indicated by the uplink grant.

17. The wireless device of claim 16 , wherein dropping the first scheduled transmission and transmitting the at least one transport block are further based on at least one of:

the at least one transport block comprising ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) data; or

a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission power that is greater than an allowed power value.

18. The wireless device of claim 16 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to validate a format of the first DCI at least based on:

a first field of the first DCI; and

a second field of the first DCI.

19. The wireless device of claim 16 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to validate the activation of SP CSI reporting, wherein validating the activation of SP CSI reporting is based on:

a first field, of the first DCI, being equal to a first value; and

a second field, of the first DCI, being equal to a second value.

20. The wireless device of claim 19 , wherein the first field comprises a hybrid automatic repeat request process number field.
