Backlight module with reflection-reducing component and display device comprising the same
A backlight module is provided. The backlight module has an active region and a border region adjacent to the active region. The backlight module includes an optical plate, a light source and a reflection-reducing component. The light source is disposed corresponding to the optical plate and emits a light to the optical plate. The optical plate is disposed on the reflection-reducing component in the border region.
1. A backlight module having an active region and a border region adjacent to the active region, comprising:
an optical plate;
a light source disposed corresponding to the optical plate and emitting a light to the optical plate;
a reflection-reducing component, wherein the optical plate is disposed on the reflection-reducing component in the border region; and
a reflective component, wherein the optical plate is disposed on the reflective component,
wherein the optical plate comprises a surface adjacent to the reflective component, and the optical plate comprises a plurality of dots protruding outward from the surface,
wherein the reflection-reducing component comprises a first glue layer, a second glue layer and a substrate layer, and the substrate layer is disposed between the first glue layer and the second glue layer, the second glue layer is in contact with the optical plate, and a top surface of the substrate layer that is in contact with the second glue layer and below the optical plate has a curved profile.
2. The backlight module as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a housing component disposed adjacent to the optical plate and on the reflection-reducing component.
3. The backlight module as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the reflective component is disposed adjacent to the reflection-reducing component, a portion of the reflective component is disposed in the active region, and another portion of reflective component is disposed in the border region.
4. The backlight module as claimed in claim 2 , wherein a first width of the reflection-reducing component between the housing component and the reflective component in the border region is greater than or equal to a second width of the reflective component in the border region.
5. The backlight module as claimed in claim 4 , wherein a ratio of the second width to the first width is in a range from 1:1 to 1:2.
6. The backlight module as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the light source is disposed adjacent to a side of the optical plate.
7. The backlight module as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the optical plate is a light guide plate.
8. The backlight module as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the reflective component is in contact with the plurality of dots and an air gap exists between the optical plate and the reflective component.
9. A backlight module having an active region and a border region adjacent to the active region, comprising:
an optical plate;
a light source disposed corresponding to the optical plate and emitting a light to the optical plate;
a reflection-reducing component, wherein the optical plate is disposed on the reflection-reducing component in the border region; and
a reflective component, wherein the optical plate is disposed on the reflective component,
wherein the optical plate comprises a surface adjacent to the reflective component, and the optical plate comprises a plurality of dots protruding outward from the surface,
wherein the reflection-reducing component comprises a first glue layer, a second glue layer and a substrate layer, and the substrate layer is disposed between the first glue layer and the second glue layer, the second glue layer is in contact with the optical plate, and a top surface of the second glue layer that is below the optical plate has a curved profile.
