Abstract

Embodiments provide a lens driving unit including a base, a housing supported so as to be movable relative to the base, a magnet located on the housing, a pattern coil part including a pattern coil that is located opposite the magnet, the pattern coil part being located on the base, and a sensor part mounted to the pattern coil part for sensing a position or movement of the housing, and the pattern coil part includes a first layer and a second layer stacked on the first layer, the sensor part being mounted underneath the first layer, and the pattern coil being formed on the second layer. Thereby, manufacturing costs may be reduced owing to a reduction in the number of elements, processes, and process management points.

Claims (39)

1. A lens driving unit comprising:

a base;

a circuit board disposed on the base;

a housing disposed above the circuit board; and

a bobbin disposed in the housing and configured to move in a first direction,

wherein the circuit board comprises a first portion disposed on the base, a second portion bent from the first portion, a third portion extending from the second portion, at least one terminal disposed on the third portion, and a coating member disposed on a portion of the at least one terminal.

2. The lens driving unit according to claim 1 , wherein the coating member exposes another portion of the at least one terminal.

3. The lens driving unit according to claim 1 , wherein the first portion comprises a hole in order to accommodate the bobbin.

4. The lens driving unit according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one terminal comprises a plurality of terminals disposed on one surface of the third portion and spaced apart from each other.

5. The lens driving unit according to claim 4 , wherein the coating member is disposed on a portion of each of the plurality of terminals.

6. The lens driving unit according to claim 4 , wherein the coating member is disposed between the plurality of terminals.

7. The lens driving unit according to claim 1 , wherein the coating member is disposed on a portion of an upper surface of the at least one terminal.

8. The lens driving unit according to claim 1 , wherein the coating member comprises a first part disposed on a first region of an upper surface of the at least one terminal, and the first region is adjacent to one of two side surfaces of the at least one terminal.

9. The lens driving unit according to claim 8 , wherein the coating member comprises a second part disposed on a second region of the upper surface of the at least one terminal, and the second region is adjacent to the other side surface of two side surfaces of the at least one terminal.

10. The lens driving unit according to claim 1 , wherein the coating member is formed of a photo solder resist or cover layer material.

11. The lens driving unit according to claim 1 , wherein the coating member is disposed on opposite ends of the at least one terminal.

12. The lens driving unit according to claim 1 , wherein the coating member is disposed on opposite side regions of an upper surface of the at least one terminal and an upper region of the upper surface of the at least one terminal.

13. The lens driving unit according to claim 1 , comprising:

a magnet disposed on the housing; and

a first coil disposed on the bobbin and configured to move the bobbin in the first direction by an interaction with the magnet.

14. The lens driving unit according to claim 13 , comprising a second coil facing the magnet and configured to move the housing in a direction perpendicular to the first direction by an interaction with the magnet.

15. The lens driving unit according to claim 14 , wherein the second coil is formed at the circuit board.

16. A camera module comprising:

a lens;

the lens driving unit according to claim 1 ; and

an image sensor.

17. A lens driving unit comprising:

a base;

a circuit board disposed on the base;

a housing disposed above the circuit board;

a bobbin disposed in the housing and configured to move in a first direction;

a magnet disposed on the housing;

a first coil disposed on the bobbin and configured to move the bobbin in the first direction by an interaction with the magnet; and

a second coil facing the magnet and configured to move the housing in a direction perpendicular to the first direction by an interaction with the magnet;

wherein the circuit board comprises at least one terminal and a coating member disposed on an upper surface of the at least one terminal, and

wherein the coating member exposes a portion of the upper surface of the at least one terminal.

18. The lens driving unit according to claim 17 , wherein the coating member is disposed on opposite ends of the upper surface of the at least one terminal.

19. The lens driving unit according to claim 17 , wherein the coating member comprises a first part disposed on a first side region of an upper surface of the at least one terminal and a second part disposed on a second side region of the upper surface of the at least one terminal.

20. The lens driving unit according to claim 19 , wherein the coating member exposes a portion disposed between the first side region and the second side region.
