Abstract

A spinal implant comprises an implant body extending between an anterior surface and a posterior surface and includes a first vertebral engaging surface and a second vertebral engaging surface. The implant body includes an inner surface that defines at least one cavity that is oriented to implant a fastener oblique relative to a lateral axis of a subject body and adjacent an intervertebral space of the subject body. At least one indicia is disposed with the implant body to facilitate orientation of the implant body with the subject body. Systems and methods are disclosed.

Claims (26)

1 - 20 . (canceled)

21 . A spinal implant comprising:

an implant body extending along a longitudinal axis between opposite first and second end walls, the implant body comprising opposite first and second side walls each extending from the first end wall to the second end wall, the implant body including opposite superior and inferior walls each extending from the first end wall to the second end wall and from the first side wall to the second side wall, the implant body including an opening extending through the superior and inferior walls, the walls being fixed relative to one another, the implant body including a cavity extending into the second end wall.

22 . The spinal implant recited in claim 21 , wherein the cavity is threaded.

23 . The spinal implant recited in claim 21 , wherein the cavity includes spaced apart first and second cavities.

24 . The spinal implant recited in claim 21 , wherein the cavity includes spaced apart first and second cavities, the second cavity extending parallel to the first cavity.

25 . The spinal implant recited in claim 21 , wherein the longitudinal axis is a central longitudinal axis, the cavity including spaced apart first and second cavities, the first cavity being disposed between the first side wall and the central longitudinal axis, the second cavity being disposed between the second side wall and the central longitudinal axis.

26 . The spinal implant recited in claim 21 , wherein the longitudinal axis is a central longitudinal axis, the cavity including spaced apart first and second cavities, the first cavity being disposed between the first side wall and the central longitudinal axis, the second cavity being disposed between the second side wall and the central longitudinal axis, the second cavity extending parallel to the first cavity.

27 . The spinal implant recited in claim 21 , wherein the cavity includes spaced apart first and second threaded cavities.

28 . The spinal implant recited in claim 21 , wherein the cavity includes spaced apart first and second threaded cavities, the second cavity extending parallel to the first cavity.

29 . The spinal implant recited in claim 21 , wherein the longitudinal axis is a central longitudinal axis, the cavity including spaced apart first and second threaded cavities, the first cavity being disposed between the first side wall and the central longitudinal axis, the second cavity being disposed between the second side wall and the central longitudinal axis.

30 . The spinal implant recited in claim 21 , wherein the longitudinal axis is a central longitudinal axis, the cavity including spaced apart first and second threaded cavities, the first cavity being disposed between the first side wall and the central longitudinal axis, the second cavity being disposed between the second side wall and the central longitudinal axis, the second cavity extending parallel to the first cavity.

31 . The spinal implant recited in claim 21 , wherein at least a portion of the first side wall extends parallel to at least a portion of the second side wall.

32 . The spinal implant recited in claim 21 , wherein the first end wall comprises bulleting configured to facilitate insertion of the spinal implant along a surgical pathway.

33 . The spinal implant recited in claim 21 , wherein the superior wall defines a first vertebral engaging surface and the inferior wall defines an opposite second vertebral engaging surface, the second vertebral engaging surface extending parallel to the first vertebral engaging surface.

34 . The spinal implant recited in claim 21 , wherein the superior wall defines a first vertebral engaging surface and the inferior wall defines an opposite second vertebral engaging surface, the implant body having a thickness measured between the vertebral engaging surfaces that is substantially equivalent over the extent of the implant body.

35 . A spinal implant comprising:

an implant body extending along a central longitudinal axis between opposite first and second end walls, the implant body comprising opposite first and second side walls each extending from the first end wall to the second end wall, at least a portion of the first side wall extending parallel to at least a portion of the second side wall the implant body including opposite superior and inferior walls each extending from the first end wall to the second end wall and from the first side wall to the second side wall, the implant body including an opening extending through the superior and inferior walls, the walls being fixed relative to one another, the implant body including spaced apart first and second threaded cavities extending into the second end wall, the first cavity being disposed between the first side wall and the central longitudinal axis, the second cavity being disposed between the second side wall and the central longitudinal axis, the second cavity extending parallel to the first cavity.

36 . The spinal implant recited in claim 35 , wherein the first end wall comprises bulleting configured to facilitate insertion of the spinal implant along a surgical pathway.

37 . The spinal implant recited in claim 35 , wherein the superior wall defines a first vertebral engaging surface and the inferior wall defines an opposite second vertebral engaging surface, the second vertebral engaging surface extending parallel to the first vertebral engaging surface.

38 . The spinal implant recited in claim 35 , wherein the superior wall defines a first vertebral engaging surface and the inferior wall defines an opposite second vertebral engaging surface, the implant body having a thickness measured between the vertebral engaging surfaces that is substantially equivalent over the extent of the implant body.

39 . The spinal implant recited in claim 35 , wherein the implant body is monolithic.

40 . A spinal implant comprising:

an implant body extending along a central longitudinal axis between opposite first and second end walls, the first end wall comprising bulleting configured to facilitate insertion of the spinal implant along a surgical pathway, the implant body comprising opposite first and second side walls each extending from the first end wall to the second end wall, at least a portion of the first side wall extending parallel to at least a portion of the second side wall the implant body including opposite superior and inferior walls each extending from the first end wall to the second end wall and from the first side wall to the second side wall, the implant body including an opening extending through the superior and inferior walls, the walls being fixed relative to one another, the implant body including spaced apart first and second threaded cavities extending into the second end wall, the first cavity being disposed between the first side wall and the central longitudinal axis, the second cavity being disposed between the second side wall and the central longitudinal axis, the second cavity extending parallel to the first cavity,
