Abstract

A changing table comprises a wall assembly and a tray assembly. The wall assembly comprises wall housing, a transparent-to-UV-light panel, and a UV light source. The wall assembly and tray assembly form a changeable angle α in between them. The tray assembly comprises an exterior first surface and an interior second surface. The second surface is configured to receive an infant and at least a portion of UV light generated by the UV light source.

Claims (25)

1. A changing table, comprising:

a wall assembly comprising:

a wall housing,

a transparent-to-UV-light panel,

a UV light source positioned between the wall housing and the transparent-to-UV-light panel; and

a tray assembly comprising:

an exterior first surface; and

an interior second surface, wherein the second surface is configured to receive an infant and at least a portion of UV light generated by the UV light source.

2. The changing table according to claim 1 , the tray assembly further comprising a tray layer, the tray layer being disposed between the first surface and the second surface, the tray layer having a concaved formation supporting the second surface.

3. The changing table according to claim 1 , wherein the tray assembly further comprises a front panel forming the first surface of the tray assembly, wherein the front panel is flat and solid.

4. The changing table according to claim 1 , wherein the second surface is concave.

5. The changing table according to claim 1 , wherein the second surface has a non-porous surface finish.

6. The changing table according to claim 1 , wherein the second surface has a hydrophobic surface finish.

7. The changing table according to claim 1 , wherein the second surface is a cushion layer.

8. The changing table according to claim 1 , wherein the second surface has a plurality of grooves.

9. The changing table according claim 1 , wherein the second surface is made, at least in part, with foam material.

10. The changing table according to claim 1 , the tray assembly further comprising at least one side handle, the side handle forming a loop, the side handle protruding from a lateral side of the tray assembly.

11. Changing table according to claim 1 , the wall assembly further including a bezel, wherein the bezel seals around the transparent-to-UV-light panel.

12. The changing table according to claim 1 , wherein the UV light source is a UV light bulb or a solid-state light source that emits UV light.

13. The changing table according to claim 1 , wherein the tray assembly is pivotally attached to the wall assembly, wherein an angle α is formed between the tray assembly, and the wall assembly, and wherein the UV light source does not emit UV light when the angle α is not between zero to ten degrees.

14. The changing table according to claim 1 , wherein the wall assembly further comprises a reflector.

15. A changing table, comprising:

a tray assembly comprising:

an exterior first surface; and

an interior second surface, wherein the second surface is a cushion layer having a plurality of grooves running circularly and concentrically in parallel on a top surface of the cushion layer.
