Systems and methods for electronic gaming with progressively increasing outputs
An electronic gaming device including a display device, a memory device, and a game controller including a processor is described. The processor is configured to determine a total output amount for an electronic game, determine a display sequence of a plurality of display sequences stored in the memory device and associated with the output amount, and control display of the base display pattern in a first display area on the display device. The processor is also configured to control display of a first feature display pattern of the plurality of feature display patterns in a second display area on the display device, and control sequential display of each remaining feature display pattern in the second display area, wherein each at least one symbol in each subsequent feature display pattern is associated with an output amount greater than or equal to any currently displayed at least one symbol.
1 . An electronic gaming device comprising:
a display device;
a memory device; and
a game controller comprising a processor, wherein the game controller is in communication with the display device and the memory device and is configured to:
determine a total output amount for an electronic game;
determine a display sequence of a plurality of display sequences stored in the memory device and associated with the total output amount, wherein the display sequence comprises a base display pattern and a plurality of feature display patterns comprising symbols associated with output amounts;
control display of the base display pattern in a first display area on the display device according to the display sequence;
control display of a first feature display pattern of the plurality of feature display patterns in a second display area on the display device according to the display sequence;
control display of a subsequent feature display pattern of the plurality of feature display patterns in the second display area, the subsequent feature display pattern comprising completion of a predetermined portion of symbol positions with symbols in the second display area, the symbols in the predetermined portion of symbol positions associated with initial output amounts;
cause the initial output amounts associated with the symbols displayed in the predetermined portion of symbols positions to increase based upon the completion of the predetermined portion of symbol positions with symbols;
control sequential display of each remaining feature display pattern of the plurality of feature display patterns in the second display area on the display device according to the display sequence, wherein each symbol in a remaining feature display pattern that comprises a symbol associated with an output amount is associated with an output amount greater than or equal to output amounts associated with any previously provided symbols in the plurality of feature display patterns when the previously provided symbols were initially provided, wherein at least one remaining feature display pattern comprises no symbols associated with output amounts; and
provide the total output amount upon completion of display of each feature display pattern of the plurality of feature display patterns according to the display sequence.
2 . The electronic gaming device of claim 1 , wherein the game controller is further configured to control display of each symbol associated with an output amount by controlling display of each respective output amount overlaid upon a respective symbol.
3 . The electronic gaming device of claim 1 , wherein the game controller is further configured to:
control display of the base display pattern in the first display area on the display device, wherein the first display area comprises a plurality of reels; and
control display of the first feature display pattern and each remaining feature display pattern in the second display area on the display device, wherein the second display area comprises a matrix of symbol positions, each symbol position of the matrix of symbol positions comprising its own reel.
4 . The electronic gaming device of claim 1 , wherein the game controller is further configured to determine a number of bingo pattern amounts corresponding to the total output amount.
5 . The electronic gaming device of claim 4 , wherein the game controller is further configured to control sequential display of the first feature display pattern and each remaining feature display pattern until display of each of the number of bingo pattern amounts has been achieved.
6 . The electronic gaming device of claim 1 , wherein the game controller is further configured to
cause the initial output amounts to increase by multiplying the initial output amounts associated with the symbols in the predetermined portion of symbol positions the second display area.
7 . The electronic gaming device of claim 1 , wherein the game controller is further configured to:
determine the display sequence, wherein the display sequence further comprises a bonus display pattern; and
control display of the bonus display pattern, wherein the bonus display pattern comprises a colored background and at least one spin of a bonus game in the first display area.
8 . The electronic gaming device of claim 1 , wherein the game controller is further configured to cause a spin counter to decrement by one spin based upon the at least one remaining display pattern comprising no symbols associated with output amounts being provided.
9 . An electronic gaming system comprising at least one processor in communication with at least one memory with instructions stored thereon, wherein the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:
select a total output amount for an electronic game;
receive a random number generator (RNG) output;
based upon the total output amount, search a lookup table for a set of scripts associated with the total output amount, wherein each script of the set of scripts comprises a display sequence associated with the total output amount, and wherein each display sequence comprises at least one of a base display pattern associated with a first area or a plurality of feature display patterns associated with a second area;
based upon the RNG output, determine a script of the set of scripts to communicate the total output amount; and
determine a first portion of the total output amount to communicate with a selected base display pattern according to the script and a second portion of the total output amount to communicate with a selected plurality of feature display patterns according to the script, wherein each symbol in a subsequent feature display pattern of the selected plurality of feature display patterns that comprises a symbol associated with an output amount is associated with an output amount greater than or equal to output amounts associated with any previously provided symbols in the selected plurality of feature display patterns when the previously provided symbols were initially provided, wherein at least one feature display pattern of the selected plurality of feature display patterns comprises no symbols associated with output amounts, and wherein the selected plurality of feature display patterns includes:
a display pattern comprising completion of a predetermined portion of symbol positions with symbols, the symbols in the predetermined portion of symbol positions associated with initial output amounts; and
the initial output amounts associated with the symbols displayed in the predetermined portion of symbols positions increasing based upon the completion of the predetermined portion of symbol positions with symbols.
10 . The electronic gaming system of claim 9 , wherein the selected plurality of feature display patterns comprises at least one symbol associated with a respective fraction of the second portion of the total output amount.
11 . The electronic gaming system of claim 10 , wherein the instructions further cause the at least one processor to configure each at least one symbol with the respective fraction of the second portion of the total output amount overlaid thereon.
12 . The electronic gaming system of claim 9 , wherein the first area comprises a plurality of reels and the second area comprises a matrix of symbol positions, each symbol position of the matrix of symbol positions comprising its own reel.
13 . The electronic gaming system of claim 12 , wherein the selected plurality of feature display patterns comprises a plurality of spin results in the second area.
14 . The electronic gaming system of claim 13 , wherein the instructions further cause the at least one processor to arrange a portion of the plurality of spin results in an order from a lowest value spin result to a highest value spin result, the portion comprising spin results comprising symbols associated with output amounts.
15 . The electronic gaming system of claim 9 , wherein the instructions further cause the at least one processor to:
determine a number of bingo pattern amounts corresponding to the total output amount; and
determine that the total output amount has been communicated when display of each of the number of bingo pattern amounts has been achieved.
16 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium with instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:
determine a total output amount for an electronic game;
in response to determining the total output amount, search a lookup table for a set of scripts associated with the total output amount, wherein each script of the set of scripts comprises a display sequence associated with the total output amount, and wherein each display sequence comprises at least one of a base display pattern associated with a first area or a plurality of feature display patterns associated with a second area;
analyze a random number generator (RNG) output;
in response to analyzing the RNG output, determine a script of the set of scripts to convey the total output amount; and
select a first portion of the total output amount to convey with a selected base display pattern according to the script and a second portion of the total output amount to convey with a selected plurality of feature display patterns according to the script, wherein each symbol in a subsequent feature display pattern of the selected plurality of feature display patterns that comprises a symbol associated with an output amount is associated with an output amount greater than or equal to output amounts associated with any previously provided symbols in the selected plurality of feature display patterns when the previously provided symbols were initially provided, wherein at least one feature display pattern of the selected plurality of feature display patterns comprises no symbols associated with output amounts, and wherein the selected plurality of feature display patterns includes:
a display pattern comprising completion of a predetermined portion of symbol positions with symbols, the symbols in the predetermined portion of symbol positions associated with initial output amounts; and
the initial output amounts associated with the symbols displayed in the predetermined portion of symbols positions increasing based upon the completion of the predetermined portion of symbol positions with symbols.

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the selected plurality of feature display patterns comprises at least one symbol associated with a respective fraction of the second portion of the total output amount, and wherein the instructions further cause the at least one processor to configure each at least one symbol with the respective fraction of the second portion of the total output amount overlaid thereon.
18 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the first area comprises a plurality of reels and the second area comprises a matrix of symbol positions, each symbol position of the matrix of symbol positions comprising its own reel.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 18 , wherein the selected plurality of feature display patterns comprises a plurality of spin results in the second area.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the instructions further cause the at least one processor to organize a portion of the plurality of spin results in an order from a lowest value spin result to a highest value spin result, the portion comprising spin results comprising symbols associated with output amounts.
