Abstract

A rotary electric machine includes a rotor, a stator having a coil, a substrate electrically connected to the coil, a bus bar assembly having a bus bar electrically connecting the coil and the substrate, and a housing having a stator housing portion accommodating the stator and a substrate housing portion accommodating the substrate. The substrate housing portion is radially outside the stator housing portion. The housing has a connection hole radially connecting the stator housing portion and the substrate housing portion. The bus bar assembly radially passes through the connection hole. The bus bar includes a coil connection portion electrically connected to the coil, and a substrate connection portion electrically connected to the substrate. The bus bar assembly includes a bus bar holder that holds the bus bar, and a fixing member that is held by the bus bar holder and fixed to the housing.

Claims (37)

1. A rotary electric machine comprising:

a rotor rotatable about a central axis extending in an axial direction;

a stator having a coil and facing the rotor via a gap;

a substrate electrically connected to the coil;

a bus bar assembly having a bus bar electrically connecting the coil and the substrate; and

a housing having a stator housing portion that accommodates the stator therein and a substrate housing portion that accommodates the substrate therein, wherein

the substrate housing portion is located radially outside the stator housing portion,

the housing has a connection hole that connects an inside of the stator housing portion and an inside of the substrate housing portion in the radial direction,

the bus bar assembly is passed through the connection hole in a radial direction,

the bus bar includes:

a coil connection portion electrically connected to the coil in the stator housing portion; and

a substrate connection portion electrically connected to the substrate in the substrate housing portion,

the bus bar assembly includes:

a bus bar holder that holds the bus bar; and

a fixing member held by the bus bar holder and fixed to the housing,

the substrate housing portion includes a fixed portion to which the fixing member is fixed, the fixing member is fixed to the fixed portion by a screw tightened from radially outside, and the screw is located between the substrate and the stator,

the bus bar assembly is located on one side in the axial direction of the stator in the stator housing portion,

the stator housing portion has an opening that opens to one side in the axial direction,

the coil connection portion overlaps the opening when viewed from one side in the axial direction, and

the rotary electric machine further comprises a cover member having a cylindrical portion surrounding an end portion of the stator on one side in the axial direction of the stator,

wherein the housing includes a lid member that closes the opening,

the cover member has an opposing portion located on one side in the axial direction of the bus bar assembly in the stator housing portion, and

the opposing portion has an axial positioning portion that axially positions the bus bar assembly, and

the rotary electric machine further comprises an elastic member that is located between the lid member and the cover member in the axial direction and applies a force toward an other axial direction to the cover member.

2. The rotary electric machine according to claim 1 , wherein the coil connection portion has a U shape sandwiching a lead wire drawn out from the coil when viewed in the axial direction.

3. The rotary electric machine according to claim 2 , wherein

the bus bar includes a bus bar body portion that connects the coil connection portion and the substrate connection portion,

the coil connection portion includes:

a first holding portion connected to the bus bar body portion;

a second holding portion that sandwiches the lead wire between the second holding portion and the first holding portion; and

the second holding portion is located radially inside the first holding portion.

4. The rotary electric machine according to claim 2 , wherein

a plurality of the bus bars is provided, and

the plurality of bus bars includes the bus bar of the bus bar assembly in which the coil connection portion is open to an upper side in a vertical direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the rotor.

5. A pump comprising:

the rotary electric machine according to claim 1 ; and

a pump mechanism connected to the rotor.
