Abstract

A mechanism for processing video data is disclosed. A level indicator for a set of subpictures is determined. The set of subpictures is included in one or more subpicture tracks. The subpicture tracks are included in a subpicture entity group. When the level indicator is included in a sample group, an indication is signaled in an entity to group box to indicate the track that contains the sample group. A conversion is performed between a visual media data and a media data file based on the level indicator.

Claims (26)

1. A method for processing video data comprising:

determining a level indicator for a set of subpictures included in one or more subpicture tracks, wherein the subpicture tracks are included in a subpicture entity group, and wherein, when the level indicator is included in a sample group, an indication is signaled in an entity to group box of the subpicture entity group to indicate a track that contains the sample group including the level indicator, wherein a rule specifies that the track containing the sample group contains picture header network abstraction layer (NAL) units; and

performing a conversion between a visual media data and a media data file based on the level indicator.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the indication is a track identifier (ID) that is signaled in a level information track ID (level_information_track_id) field.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the rule further specifies that the track containing the sample group must be a versatile video coding (VVC) base track.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the entity to group box specifies the subpicture entity group.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the sample group carries information for the set of subpictures.

6. An apparatus for processing video data comprising:

a processor; and

a non-transitory memory with instructions thereon, wherein the instructions upon execution by the processor, cause the processor to:

determine a level indicator for a set of subpictures included in one or more subpicture tracks, wherein the subpicture tracks are included in a subpicture entity group, and wherein when the level indicator is included in a sample group, an indication is signaled in an entity to group box of the subpicture entity group to indicate a track that contains the sample group including the level indicator, wherein a rule specifies that the track containing the sample group contains picture header network abstraction layer (NAL) units; and

perform a conversion between a visual media data and a media data file based on the level indicator.

7. The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the indication is a track identifier (ID) that is signaled in a level information track ID (level_information_track_id) field.

8. The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the rule further specifies that the track containing the sample group must be a versatile video coding (VVC) base track.

9. The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the entity to group box specifies the subpicture entity group.

10. The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the sample group carries information for the set of subpictures.

11. A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising a computer program product for use by a video coding device, the computer program product comprising computer executable instructions stored on the non-transitory computer readable medium such that when executed by a processor cause the video coding device to:

determine a level indicator for a set of subpictures included in one or more subpicture tracks, wherein the subpicture tracks are included in a subpicture entity group, and wherein, when the level indicator is included in a sample group, an indication is signaled in an entity to group box of the subpicture entity group to indicate a track that contains the sample group including the level indicator, wherein a rule specifies that the track containing the sample group contains picture header network abstraction layer (NAL) units; and

perform a conversion between a visual media data and a media data file based on the level indicator.

12. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the indication is a track identifier (ID) that is signaled in a level information track ID (level information track id) field.

13. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the rule further specifies that the track containing the sample group must be a versatile video coding (VVC) base track.

14. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the entity to group box specifies the subpicture entity group, and wherein the sample group carries information for the set of subpictures.

15. The method of claim 1 , wherein the conversion includes encoding the visual media data into the media data file.

16. The method of claim 1 , wherein the conversion includes decoding the visual media data from the media data file.

17. The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the conversion includes encoding the visual media data into the media data file.

18. The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the conversion includes decoding the visual media data from the media data file.
