Abstract

In some embodiments, a system includes a processor; and a memory in communication with the processor for storing instructions, which when executed by the processor causes the device to receive a frontal frame component image of a frontal frame of a pair of eyeglasses; receive a temple component image of a temple component of the pair of eyeglasses; and use the frontal frame component image and the temple component image to generate a three-dimensional (3D) model of the pair of eyeglasses.

the inner surfaces of the 3D eyeglasses model that are constructed using the contours extracted from extracted from the frontal frame component image and the temple component image are a frontal frame inner surface, a temple inner surface, and temple inner surface.

9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , wherein:

grid surfaces are generated using bounding boxes generated around the contours, the grid surfaces being used to generate the 3D eyeglasses model.

10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 9 , wherein:

opacity maps are generated for the inner surfaces, the outer surfaces, and contour surfaces, the opacity maps being used to generate the 3D eyeglasses model.

11 . The computer-implemented method of claim 10 , wherein:

texture maps are generated for the inner surfaces, the outer surfaces, and the contour surfaces, the texture maps being used to generate the 3D eyeglasses model.

12 . A system, comprising:

a processor; and

a memory in communication with the processor for storing instructions, which when executed by the processor, cause the system to:

receive a frontal frame component image of a frontal frame of a pair of eyeglasses;

receive a temple component image of a temple component of the pair of eyeglasses; and

use the frontal frame component image and the temple component image to generate a three-dimensional (3D) eyeglasses model.
