Abstract

With respect to a secondary battery of one embodiment of the present invention, at least one of a positive electrode core body and a negative electrode core body is configured such that the tensile elongation in the central part in the width direction is higher than the tensile elongation in both end parts in the width direction. With respect to a secondary battery of another embodiment of the present invention, at least one of a positive electrode core body and a negative electrode core body is configured such that the number of crystal grains per unit area in the central part in the width direction is smaller than the number of crystal grains per unit area in both end parts in the width direction.

Claims (18)

1 . A secondary battery, comprising an electrode assembly including a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a separator, the positive electrode and the negative electrode of which are laminated via the separator, wherein

the positive electrode includes a positive electrode core having a longitudinal direction and a width direction, and a positive electrode active material layer formed on a surface of the positive electrode core,

the negative electrode includes a negative electrode core having a longitudinal direction and a width direction, and a negative electrode active material layer formed on a surface of the negative electrode core, and

a tensile elongation percentage at a width direction center portion of at least one of the positive electrode core and the negative electrode core is higher than a tensile elongation percentage at both width direction end portions of at least one of the positive electrode core and the negative electrode core.

2 . The secondary battery according to claim 1 , wherein the tensile elongation percentage at the width direction center portion of at least one of the positive electrode core and the negative electrode core is equal to or higher than 1.2 times of the tensile elongation percentage at both width direction end portions of at least one of the positive electrode core and the negative electrode core.

3 . The secondary battery according to claim 1 or 2 , wherein

the electrode assembly has a wound structure for which the positive electrode and the negative electrode are wound in a helical shape via the separator,

the negative electrode active material layer is formed in an area larger than the positive electrode active material layer and is arranged opposite to an entire region of the positive active material layer, and

the tensile elongation percentage at the width direction center portion is higher than the tensile elongation percentage at both width direction end portions for the negative electrode core.

4 . A secondary battery, comprising an electrode assembly including a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a separator, the positive electrode and the negative electrode of which are laminated via the separator, wherein

the positive electrode includes a positive electrode core having a longitudinal direction and a width direction, and a positive electrode active material layer formed on a surface of the positive electrode core,

the negative electrode includes a negative electrode core having a longitudinal direction and a width direction, and a negative electrode active material layer formed on a surface of the negative electrode core, and

a number of crystal grains per unit area at a width direction center portion of at least one of the positive electrode core and the negative electrode core is smaller than a number of crystal grains per unit area at both width direction end portions of at least one of the positive electrode core and the negative electrode core.

5 . The secondary battery according to claim 4 , wherein the number of the crystal grains per unit area at the width direction center portion of at least one of the positive electrode core and the negative electrode core is equal to or smaller than ½ of the number of the crystal grains per unit area at both width direction end portions of at least one of the positive electrode core and the negative electrode core.

6 . The secondary battery according to claim 4 or 5 , wherein

the electrode assembly has a wound structure for which the positive electrode and the negative electrode are wound in a helical shape via the separator,

the negative electrode active material layer is formed in an area larger than the positive electrode active material layer and is arranged opposite to an entire region of the positive active material layer, and

the number of the crystal grains per unit area at the width direction center portion is smaller than the number of the crystal grains per unit area at both width direction end portions for the negative electrode core.
