7 . A method of treating or preventing chronic heart failure, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a compound inhibiting SGLT1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a subject.

10 . A method of treating or preventing chronic heart failure, comprising administering to a subject a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of Formula [I]:

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof,

wherein R 1 is hydrogen or halogen;

R 2 is C 1-6 alkyl or halo-C 1-6 alkyl;

R 3 is

(1) C 1-6 alkyl,

(2) halo-C 1-6 alkyl,

(3) pyridyl substituted with R 3A , or

(4) pyrazinyl, pyrimidinyl, or pyridazinyl, which may be optionally substituted with R 3B ;

R 3A is cyano, halogen, or halo-C 1-3 alkyl;

R 3B is halogen, hydroxy, C 1-3 alkyl, halo-C 1-3 alkyl, C 1-3 alkoxy, or —N(R 4 )(R 5 ); and

R 4 and R 5 are each independently hydrogen or C 1-3 alkyl.

11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the compound of Formula [I] or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is any one of compounds of Formulae [II] to [V]:
