Abstract

Systems and methods are disclosed that facilitate providing guidance to a user during performance of a program or routine using a personalized avatar. In an aspect, a system includes a reception component configured to receive biochemical information about a physiological state or condition of a user, including information identifying a presence or a status of one or more biomarkers. The system further includes an analysis component configured to determine or infer one or more characteristics of the physiological state or condition of the user based on the information identifying the presence or the status of the one or more biomarkers, and a visualization component configured to adapt an appearance of an avatar presented to the user based on the one or more characteristics to reflect the one or more characteristics.

Claims (51)

1. A system, comprising:

a processor; and

a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:

accessing feedback information associated with performance of a defined program by a user, wherein the feedback information is generated by one or more sensors over a course of the defined program, and wherein the feedback information comprises one or more feature values related to at least one of physical movement information related to the user, physiological information related to the user, or context information related to a context of the user;

monitoring adherence or non-adherence of the user to the defined program by employing one or more algorithms that compare the one or more feature values to respective reference metrics associated with the defined program;

analyzing historical data regarding a previous performance of the defined program by the user;

determining, based on comparison of the one or more feature values to the respective reference metrics and based on the historical data, whether the user is deviating or is likely to deviate from one or more requirements of the defined program;

generating, based on a determination that the user is deviating or is likely to deviate from the one or more requirements of the defined program, a reaction to be performed by an avatar presented to the user via a device to guide the user to perform a set of actions; and

executing the reaction via the avatar.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the analyzing learning a behavior and preferences of the user based on the previous performance.

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein based on the determination that the user is deviating or is likely to deviate from the one or more requirements of the defined program, the operations further comprise:

determining the reaction to be performed by the avatar, wherein the reaction comprises at least one of a visual cue or a verbal cue; and

providing customized instructions via the avatar to facilitate the adherence.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the context information comprises at least one of a current location or a current time and date.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the physical movement information comprises at least a current behavior being performed by the user as part of the defined program.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise:

employing rule-based classification schemes to compare the one or more feature values to the respective reference metrics associated with the defined program.

7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the respective reference metrics comprise one or more feature value ranges corresponding to the one or more feature values.

8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the physiological information further comprises biometric information about the user.

9. A method, comprising:

accessing, by a system comprising a processor, feedback information associated with performance of a defined program by a user, wherein the feedback information is generated by one or more sensors over a course of the defined program, and wherein the feedback information comprises one or more feature values related to at least one of physical movement information related to the user, physiological information related to the user, or context information related to a context of the user;

monitoring, by the system, adherence or non-adherence of the user to the defined program by employing one or more algorithms that compare the one or more feature values to respective reference metrics associated with the defined program;

analyzing, by the system historical data regarding a previous performance of the defined program by the user;

determining, by the system, based on comparison of the one or more feature values to the respective reference metrics and based on the historical data, whether the user is deviating or is likely to deviate from one or more requirements of the defined program;

generating, by the system, based on a determination that the user is deviating or is likely to deviate from the one or more requirements of the defined program, a reaction to be performed by an avatar presented to the user via a device to guide the user to perform a set of actions; and

executing, by the system, the reaction via the avatar.

10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the analyzing comprises:

learning, by the system, a behavior and preferences of the user based on the previous performance.

11. The method of claim 9 , further comprising:

determining, by the system, the reaction to be performed by the avatar, wherein the reaction comprises at least one of a visual cue or a verbal cue; and

providing, by the system, customized instructions via the avatar to facilitate the adherence.

12. The method of claim 9 , wherein the physical movement information comprises at least a current behavior being performed by the user as part of the defined program, wherein the physiological information further comprises biometric information about the user, and wherein the context information comprises at least one of a current location or a current time and date.

13. The method of claim 9 , further comprising:

employing, by the system, rule-based classification schemes to compare the one or more feature values to the respective reference metrics associated with the defined program.

14. The method of claim 9 , wherein the respective reference metrics comprise one or more feature value ranges corresponding to the one or more feature values.

15. A non-transitory machine-readable medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:

accessing, by the processor, feedback information associated with performance of a defined program by a user, wherein the feedback information is generated by one or more sensors over a course of the defined program, and wherein the feedback information comprises one or more feature values related to at least one of physical movement information related to the user, physiological information related to the user, or context information related to a context of the user;

monitoring, by the processor, adherence or non-adherence of the user to the defined program by employing one or more algorithms that compare the one or more feature values to respective reference metrics associated with the defined program;

analyzing, by the processor, historical data regarding a previous performance of the defined program by the user;

determining, by the processor, based on comparison of the one or more feature values to the respective reference metrics and based on the historical data, whether the user is deviating or is likely to deviate from one or more requirements of the defined program;

generating, by the processor, based on a determination that the user is deviating or is likely to deviate from the one or more requirements of the defined program, a reaction to be performed by an avatar presented to the user via a device to guide the user to perform a set of actions; and

executing, by the processor, the reaction via the avatar.

16. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise:

learning, by the processor, a behavior and preferences of the user based on the previous performance.

17. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise:

determining, by the processor, the reaction to be performed by the avatar, wherein the reaction comprises at least one of a visual cue or a verbal cue; and
