Abstract

Systems and methods are provided for controlling infrared radiation (IR) sources of a sauna including tuning IR wavelength-ranges and radiated power-levels of IR sources, and directing IR to locations on a user's body. In one illustrative embodiment, a sauna may be provided having adjustable IR emitters to emit IR at any wavelength resulting in a desirable radiation treatment for the sauna user. In another illustrative embodiment, a method is provided for tuning IR emitters in a sauna.

Claims (22)

1. A sauna comprising:

an enclosure assembly for accommodating a user;

a first heating element coupled with the enclosure assembly;

and

a computing device comprising a control module and a diagnostic module, wherein the control module is operable to control the first heating element and wherein the diagnostic module is operable to receive diagnostic information associated with an electrical system circuit of the sauna and wherein the diagnostic module is further operable to transmit diagnostic information to the remote server.

2. The sauna of claim 1 , wherein the diagnostic module is configured to communicate diagnostic information and error reports without interaction from a user.

3. The sauna of claim 2 , wherein the diagnostic information comprises repair requests, replacement part orders, and combinations thereof.

4. The sauna of claim 1 , wherein the diagnostic information comprises electricity flow and electrical failure information.

5. The sauna of claim 1 , wherein the diagnostic information comprises circuit test information.

6. The sauna of claim 1 , wherein the diagnostic module is configured to analyze received diagnostic information to determine: a cause of an electrical failure, an effect of an electrical failure, a repair for the electrical failure, and combinations thereof.

7. The sauna of claim 6 , wherein the diagnostic module is configured to output diagnostic information on a display device, to send diagnostic information to a remote server, and combinations thereof.

8. A sauna comprising:

an enclosure assembly for accommodating a user;

at least one heating element coupled with the enclosure assembly;

and

a computing device comprising a control module and a diagnostic module, wherein the control module is operable to control the at least one heating element and wherein the diagnostic module is operable to receive diagnostic information associated with a plurality of electrical system circuits of the sauna and wherein the diagnostic module is further operable to transmit diagnostic information to the remote server.

9. The sauna of claim 8 , wherein the diagnostic module is configured to communicate diagnostic information, error reports, or other information without interaction from a user.

10. The sauna of claim 9 , wherein the diagnostic information comprises repair requests, replacement part orders, and combinations thereof.

11. The sauna of claim 8 , wherein the diagnostic information comprises electricity flow and electrical failure information.

12. The sauna of claim 8 , wherein the diagnostic information comprises circuit test information.

13. The sauna of claim 8 , wherein the diagnostic module is configured to analyze received diagnostic information to determine: a cause of an electrical failure, an effect of an electrical failure, a repair for the electrical failure, and combinations thereof.

14. The sauna of claim 13 , wherein the diagnostic module is configured to output diagnostic information on a display device, to send diagnostic information to a remote server, to generate replacement part orders, and combinations thereof.
