Abstract

A secure cryptocurrency transfer system between an electronic gaming machine and a cryptowallet.

Claims (6)

1. A method for enabling and confirming transfers of cryptocurrency from player wallets to gaming wallets for use in a gaming application, the transfer of cryptocurrency being transmitted over a global communication network and temporarily stored in a memory pool prior to being recorded in a block on a blockchain, the gaming application being in communication with a game server associated with the gaming application, the game server being configured to monitor the memory pool, the method comprising the steps of:

a) transmitting a first transaction to the memory pool, the first transaction executing the transfer of cryptocurrency from the player wallet to the gaming wallet, the first transaction including wager data relating to a wager to be placed in the gaming application, wherein the first transaction is stored in the memory pool in association with one or more first transaction input identifiers and a first transaction output identifier;

b) the game server associated with the gaming application identifying the first transaction in the memory pool as including wager data relating to the wager to be placed in the gaming application;

c) the game server communicating the wager data to the gaming application;

d) responsive to receiving the wager data, the gaming application executing a second transaction involving a determination by the gaming application of a wager outcome based on the wager data, wherein the wager outcome of a win results in one or more credits being added to the gaming wallet, the second transaction being stored in the memory pool in association with one or more second transaction input identifiers and a second transaction output identifier, wherein the first transaction output identifier is the same as at least one of the one or more second transaction input identifiers; and

e) responsive to the game server identifying a third transaction in the memory pool, the third transaction including a request to withdraw the one or more credits from the gaming wallet, executing a fourth transaction involving transferring the one or more credits from the gaming wallet to the player wallet, wherein the second transaction output identifier is the same as at least one of the one or more fourth transaction input identifiers.
