Abstract

The present technology relates to a wireless communication apparatus and method by which communication can be performed with a higher efficiency. The wireless communication apparatus includes a preamble generation section that generates a preamble that is to be deployed at the top of a transmission frame and includes header information, a midamble generation section that generates a midamble that is to be deployed in the middle of the transmission frame and includes information of at least part of the header information, and a wireless transmission processing section that transmits the transmission frame including the preamble and the midamble. The present technology can be applied to a wireless communication apparatus.

Claims (43)

1. A wireless transmission processing apparatus, comprising:

circuitry configured to

generate a preamble that is to be deployed at a top of a transmission frame and includes header information,

generate a midamble that is to be deployed in a middle of the transmission frame and includes information of at least part of the header information, and

generate the transmission frame including the preamble and the midamble,

wherein the midamble includes information for specifying a wireless network to which the wireless transmission processing apparatus belongs,

wherein the circuitry is configured to control a transmission power of the transmission frame in case that a reception power of a reception frame is equal to or lower than a given value, the reception frame being received from a wireless network different from a wireless network to which the wireless transmission processing apparatus belongs.

2. The wireless transmission processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the information for specifying a wireless network to which the wireless transmission processing apparatus belongs is Basic Service Set (BSS) Color information.

3. The wireless transmission processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the midamble further includes information for advanced space reuse.

4. The wireless transmission processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the midamble further includes information relating to a modulation method and an encoding scheme.

5. The wireless transmission processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the midamble further includes information for an error detection code.

6. The wireless transmission processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the midamble further includes a training field of at least part of fields included in the preamble, wherein the training fields are outside the header information.

7. The wireless transmission processing apparatus according to claim 6 ,

wherein the deployment in the midamble and the deployment in the preamble of the information of at least part of the header information are same as each other.

8. The wireless transmission processing apparatus according to claim 6 ,

wherein the deployment in the midamble and the deployment in the preamble of the information of at least part of the header information are different from each other.

9. The wireless transmission processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the midamble is deployed at each intervals between data units included in the transmission frame.

10. The wireless transmission processing apparatus according to claim 9 ,

wherein, in a case where the data unit has a variable length, delimiter information indicative of an information length of the data unit is deployed immediately preceding to the data unit in the data unit in the transmission.

11. A wireless communication method for a wireless transmission processing

apparatus, comprising:

generating a preamble that is to be deployed at a top of a transmission frame and includes header information;

generating a midamble that is to be deployed in a middle of the transmission frame and includes information of at least part of the header information;

generating the transmission frame including the preamble and the midamble; and

controlling a transmission power of the transmission frame in case that a reception power of a reception frame is equal to or lower than a given value, the reception frame being received from a wireless network different from a wireless network to which the wireless transmission processing apparatus belong,

wherein the midamble includes information for specifying a wireless network to which the wireless transmission processing apparatus belongs.

12. A wireless reception processing apparatus comprising:

circuitry configured to

receive a reception frame that includes a preamble deployed at a top of the reception frame and including header information and a midamble deployed in a middle of the frame and including information of at least part of the header information, and

detect the midamble from the reception frame and extract the information of the at least part of the header information included in the midamble,

wherein the midamble includes information for specifying a wireless network to which the wireless reception processing apparatus belongs,

wherein a transmission power of a transmission frame is controlled in case that a reception power of the reception frame is equal to or lower than a given value, the reception frame being received from a wireless network different from a wireless network to which the wireless reception processing apparatus belongs.

13. A wireless communication method for a wireless reception processing apparatus, comprising:

receiving a reception frame that includes a preamble deployed at a top of the reception frame and including header information and a midamble deployed in a middle of the frame and including information of at least part of the header information; and

detecting the midamble from the reception frame and extracting the information of the at least part of the header information included in the midamble;

wherein the midamble includes information for specifying a wireless network to which the wireless reception processing apparatus belongs,

wherein a transmission power of a transmission frame is controlled in case that a reception power of the reception frame is equal to or lower than a given value, the reception frame being received from a wireless network different from a wireless network to which the wireless reception processing apparatus belongs.
