Abstract

The present disclosure generally relates to interview training and providing interview feedback. An exemplary method comprises: at an electronic device that is in communication with a display and one or more input devices: receiving, via the one or more input devices, media data corresponding to a user's responses to a plurality of prompts; analyzing the media data; and while displaying, on the display, a media representation of the media data, displaying a plurality of analysis representations overlaid on the media representation, wherein each of the plurality of analysis representations is associated with an analysis of content located at a given time in the media representation and is displayed in coordination with the given time in the media representation.

Claims (51)

1. A method for displaying feedback related to an answer provided by an individual to a prompt, the method comprising:

receiving media data corresponding to the answer provided by the individual to the prompt;

displaying a user interface comprising:

a first region comprising a media representation for playback of the media data; and

a second region comprising a plurality of user affordances for providing feedback, the plurality of user affordances corresponding to different predefined feedback; and

while playing back a portion of the media data, receiving, at a first time, a user selection indicative of a user affordance of the plurality of user affordances;

associating a predefined feedback to the portion of the media data based on the selected user affordance and on the first time; and

displaying the predefined feedback associated with a time stamp based on the first time.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the media data is generated on a remote electronic device.

3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising displaying a graphical representation of the predefined feedback overlaid on the media representation.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving a second user selection associated with a comment user affordance; and

receiving a comment associated with the portion of the media representation.

5. The method of claim 4 , further comprising pausing playback of the portion of the media data in response to receiving the second user selection.

6. The method of claim 4 , wherein the comment is a textual comment, an audio comment, or a graphical comment.

7. The method of claim 4 , further comprising:

associating a second time-stamp with the comment; and

displaying the comment associated with the second time stamp.

8. The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving a transcript corresponding to the media data, wherein the user interface further comprises a third region comprising the transcript.

9. The method of claim 8 , further comprising synchronizing playback of the media data in the first region with display of the transcript in the third region.

10. The method of claim 8 , further comprising:

receiving, via the one or more user input devices, a selection of one or more words of the transcript;

receiving a comment based on the one or more words of the transcript;

associating the comment with a second portion of the media data based on the one or more words of the transcript; and

displaying a second graphical representation associated with the comment in the third region.

11. The method of claim 10 , further comprising:

receiving a selection of the second graphical representation; and

displaying the comment in response to receiving the selection of the second graphical representation.

12. The method of claim 10 , further comprising displaying the selected one or more words as visually distinguished from one or more unselected words of the transcript.

13. The method of claim 1 , further comprising sending an updated predefined media to a remote device associated with the individual.

14. An electronic device, comprising:

a display;

one or more input devices;

one or more processors;

a memory; and

one or more programs, wherein the one or more programs are stored in the memory and configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for:

receiving media data corresponding to an answer provided by an individual to a prompt;

displaying a user interface comprising:

a first region comprising a media representation for playback of the media data; and

a second region comprising a plurality of user affordances for providing feedback, the plurality of user affordances corresponding to different predefined feedback; and

while playing back a portion of the media data, receiving, at a first time, a user selection indicative of a user affordance of the plurality of user affordances;

associating a predefined feedback to the portion of the media data based on the selected user affordance and on the first time; and

displaying the predefined feedback associated with a time stamp based on the first time.

15. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing one or more programs, the one or more programs comprising instructions, which when executed by one or more processors of an electronic device having a display, cause the electronic device to perform a method comprising:

receiving media data corresponding to an answer provided by an individual to a prompt;

displaying a user interface comprising:

a first region comprising a media representation for playback of the media data; and

a second region comprising a plurality of user affordances for providing feedback, the plurality of user affordances corresponding to different predefined feedback; and

while playing back a portion of the media data, receiving, at a first time, a user selection indicative of a user affordance of the plurality of user affordances;

associating a predefined feedback to the portion of the media data based on the selected user affordance and on the first time; and

displaying the predefined feedback associated with a time stamp based on the first time.
