Abstract

A non-transitory computer readable recording medium having stored thereon instructions to be executed on by a game server, the game server and corresponding method which cause the game server to perform the steps of: provide a networked multiplayer battle game over a network, storing a battle history including an identifier of an opponent with whom a user has battled in the multiplayer battle game; determining, based on the battle history and an identifier of an opponent with whom a battle begins, a procedure for conducting the battle in the battle game to be one of a first mode for conducting the battle based on user operations and a second mode for conducting the battle with fewer user operations than in the first mode, and conducting the battle with the determined procedure.

Claims (74)

1. A system for processing a game, the system comprising:

a processor, or a plurality of processors together, configured to:

determine an opponent for a user of a communication terminal to battle in the game;

access information related to the opponent; and

based on the information accessed related to the opponent, determine whether to display a selection view for the user to select one of:

a first mode that advances the battle according to a first number of user operations; and

a second mode that advances the battle according to a second number of user operations that is less than the first number; and

upon a determination to display the selection view:

output information to display the selection view;

access information indicating a user selection of the first mode or the second mode; and

output information to display a battle execution view based on the selected mode.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the second mode advances the battle with zero user operations.

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein:

the processor is, or the plurality of processors together are, configured to output information for displaying at least one of information related to the opponent and information regarding the user's game media used in the battle.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein, the information to display the battle execution view is less when the selected mode is the second mode than when the selected mode is the first mode.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein:

in a case in which the first mode is selected, the output information to display the battle execution view includes a result of the battle and information for displaying a progress of the battle; and

in a case in which the second mode is selected, the output information to display the battle execution view includes a result of the battle without information for displaying a progress of the battle.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is, or the plurality of processors together are, configured to:

predict an outcome of the battle by calculating a result of the battle; and

the selection view includes the prediction of the outcome of the battle as a result if the second mode is selected.

7. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the processor is, or the plurality of processors together are, configured to:

store a battle log; and

in a case in which the second mode is selected, output information to display the battle log during the battle.

8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is, or the plurality of processors together are, configured to:

based on the accessed information related to the opponent, determine whether a parameter of the opponent satisfies a predetermined condition; and

upon a determination that the parameter satisfies the predetermined condition, determine whether to display the selection view.

9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the processor is, or the plurality of processors together are, configured to:

upon a determination that a parameter does not satisfy the predetermined condition, not output the information to display the selection view; and

advance the battle in the first mode.

10. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is, or the plurality of processors together are, configured to:

based on the accessed information related the opponent, determine whether a level of a character of the user is greater than a level of a character of the opponent by a predetermined threshold; and

upon a determination that the level of the character of the user is greater than the level of the character of the opponent by the predetermined threshold, output the information to display the selection view.

11. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is, or the plurality of processors together are, configured to:

based on the accessed information related to the opponent, determine whether the user has battled the opponent in the past; and

upon a determination that the user has battled the opponent in the past, output the information to display the selection view.

12. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is, or the plurality of processors together are, configured to:

based on the accessed information related to the opponent, determine whether the user has defeated the opponent in the past; and

upon a determination that the user has defeated the opponent in the past, output the information to display the selection view.

13. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is, or the plurality of processors together are, configured to:

based on the accessed information related to the opponent, predict an outcome of the battle; and

include in the information to display the selection view, the prediction of the outcome of the battle.

14. A method for processing a game, comprising:

determining an opponent for a user of a communication terminal to battle in the game;

accessing information related to the opponent; and

based on the information accessed related to the opponent, determining whether to display a selection view for the user to select one of:

a first mode that advances the battle according to a first number of user operations; and

a second mode that advances the battle according to a second number of user operations that is less than the first number; and

upon a determination to display the selection view:

outputting information to display the selection view;

accessing information indicating a selection of the first mode or the second mode; and

outputting information to display a battle execution view based on the selected mode.

15. The method of claim 14 , further comprising:

based on the accessed information related to the opponent, determining whether a parameter of the opponent satisfies a predetermined condition; and

upon a determination that the parameter satisfies the predetermined condition, determining whether to display the selection view.

16. The method of claim 15 , further comprising:

upon a determination that a parameter does not satisfy the predetermined condition, not outputting the information to display the selection view; and

advancing the battle in the first mode.

17. The method of claim 14 , further comprising:

based on the accessed information related the opponent, determining whether a level of a character of the user is greater than a level of a character of the opponent by a predetermined threshold; and

upon a determination that the level of the character of the user is greater than the level of the character of the opponent by the predetermined threshold, outputting the information to display the selection view.

18. The method of claim 14 , further comprising:

based on the accessed information related to the opponent, determining whether the user has battled the opponent in the past; and

upon a determination that the user has battled the opponent in the past, outputting the information to display the selection view.

19. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a computer-executable program for processing a game, the program comprising instructions for implementing functions, comprising:

determining an opponent for a user of a communication terminal to battle in the game;

accessing information related to the opponent; and

based on the information accessed related to the opponent, determining whether to display a selection view for the user to select one of:

a first mode that advances the battle according to a first number of user operations; and

a second mode that advances the battle according to a second number of user operations that is less than the first number; and

upon a determination to display the selection view:

outputting information to display the selection view;

accessing information indicating a selection of the first mode or the second mode; and

outputting information to display a battle execution view based on the selected mode.
