Abstract

A system may include processor(s), and memory in communication with the processor(s) and storing instructions configured to cause the system to orient webpage content based on user attention. The system may determine a user has navigated to a webpage. The system may generate an attention level based on received user feature(s) associated with activity of the user on the webpage. Responsive to determining the attention level exceeds a predetermined threshold, the system may identify a duration associated with the attention level, transmit an offer to one or more entities to submit predetermined content based on the duration, receive predetermined content from the one or more entities, identify, based on a predetermined amount of predetermined content space, selected content of the received predetermined content for placement on the webpage, and cause a GUI of the user device to display the selected content.

Claims (70)

1. A system comprising:

one or more processors; and

a memory in communication with the one or more processors and storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, are configured to cause the system to:

generate an attention level of a user toward a first content displayed on a webpage, the attention level based on one or more user features associated with activity of the user on the webpage;

determine whether the attention level exceeds a first predetermined threshold;

responsive to determining the attention level exceeds the first predetermined threshold, cause a user device, via a graphical user interface (GUI), to remove, from the webpage, a predetermined content displayed on the webpage, wherein the predetermined content is a second content that was displayed simultaneously with the first content;

responsive to determining the attention level does not exceed the first predetermined threshold, determine whether the attention level exceeds a second predetermined threshold;

responsive to determining the attention level exceeds the second predetermined threshold:

identify a first duration associated with the attention level, wherein the first duration comprises a prediction of an amount of time the user's attention level will be maintained above the second predetermined threshold;

transmit a first offer to one or more first entities to submit a first amount of the predetermined content based on the first duration;

receive a first portion of the first amount of the predetermined content from the one or more first entities;

receive a second portion of the first amount of the predetermined content, wherein the second portion of the first amount of the predetermined content was previously submitted by one or more second entities;

select respective separate portions of webpage display space for the first and second portions of the first amount of the predetermined content for display via the GUI; and

cause the GUI of the user device to display, in the selected respective separate portions of the webpage display space, the first and second portions of the first amount of the predetermined content.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions are further configured to cause the system to:

determine the user has navigated to the webpage via a mobile application of the user device; and

receive the one or more user features associated with activity of the user on the webpage via the mobile application.

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions are further configured to cause the system to:

determine the user has navigated to the webpage by utilizing a web browser extension running on the user device.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein generating the attention level is conducted via a machine learning model (MLM).

5. The system of claim 4 , wherein the MLM utilizes one or more distance metrics to compare typical activity of the user on the webpage to current activity of the user on the webpage.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more user features comprise one or more of number of search queries, degree of cursor movement, time spent on the webpage, or combinations thereof.

7. The system of claim 6 , wherein the degree of cursor movement corresponds to a speed at which the user moves a cursor from a first location on the webpage to a second location on the webpage.

8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first amount is based on a predetermined relevancy score corresponding to historical consumption data of the user across multiple webpages.

9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the predetermined relevancy score enables the one or more first entities to determine one or more types of targeted predetermined content for the user.

10. A method comprising:

generating an attention level of a user toward a first content displayed on a webpage, the attention level based on one or more user features associated with activity of the user on the webpage;

determining whether the attention level exceeds a first predetermined threshold;

responsive to determining that the attention level does not exceed the first predetermined threshold, determining whether the attention level exceeds a second predetermined threshold;

responsive to determining the attention level exceeds the second predetermined threshold:

identifying a first duration associated with the attention level, wherein the first duration comprises a prediction of an amount of time the user's attention level will be maintained above the second predetermined threshold;

transmitting a first offer to one or more first entities to submit a first amount of predetermined content based on the first duration;

receiving a first portion of the first amount of the predetermined content from the one or more first entities;

receiving a second portion of the first amount of the predetermined content, wherein the second portion of the first amount of the predetermined content was previously submitted by one or more second entities;

selecting respective separate portions of webpage display space for the first and second portions of the first amount of the predetermined content for display via a graphical user interface (GUI) of a user device; and

causing the GUI of the user device to display, in the selected respective separate portions of the webpage display space, the first and second portions of the first amount of the predetermined content.

11. The method of claim 10 , wherein the one or more user features comprise one or more of number of search queries, degree of cursor movement, time spent on the webpage, or combinations thereof.

12. The method of claim 10 , wherein:

the first amount is based on a predetermined relevancy score corresponding to historical consumption data of the user across multiple webpages, and

the predetermined relevancy score enables the one or more first entities to determine one or more types of targeted predetermined content for the user.

13. The method of claim 10 , wherein generating the attention level is conducted via a machine learning model (MLM) comprising a binary classification model.

14. A system comprising:

one or more processors; and

a memory in communication with the one or more processors and storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, are configured to cause the system to:

generate an attention level of a user toward a first content displayed on a webpage, the attention level based on one or more user features associated with activity of the user on the webpage;

determine whether the attention level exceeds a first predetermined threshold;

responsive to determining the attention level exceeds the first predetermined threshold, cause a user device, via a graphical user interface (GUI), to remove, from the webpage, a first predetermined content displayed on the webpage, wherein the first predetermined content is a second content that was displayed simultaneously with the first content;

responsive to determining the attention level does not exceed the first predetermined threshold, determine whether the attention level exceeds a second predetermined threshold;

responsive to determining the attention level exceeds the second predetermined threshold:

identify a first duration associated with the attention level, wherein the first duration comprises a prediction of an amount of time the user's attention level will be maintained above the second predetermined threshold;

transmit a first offer to one or more first entities to submit a second predetermined content based on the first duration;

receive a first portion of the second predetermined content from the one or more first entities;

receive a second portion of the second predetermined content, wherein the second portion of the second predetermined content was previously submitted by one or more second entities;

select respective separate portions of webpage display space for the first and second portions of the second predetermined content for display via the GUI; and

cause the GUI of the user device to display, in the selected respective separate portions of the webpage display space, the first and second portions of the second predetermined content.

15. The system of claim 14 , wherein the instructions are further configured to cause the system to:

determine the user has navigated to the webpage via a mobile application of the user device; and

receive the one or more user features associated with activity of the user on the webpage via the mobile application.

16. The system of claim 14 , wherein the instructions are further configured to cause the system to:

responsive to determining the attention level does not exceed the second predetermined threshold:

identify a second duration associated with the attention level;

transmit a second offer to the one or more first entities to submit a third predetermined content based on the second duration;

receive the third predetermined content from the one or more first entities; and

cause the GUI of the user device to display the third predetermined content.

17. The system of claim 14 , wherein generating the attention level is conducted via a machine learning model (MLM) that utilizes one or more distance metrics to compare typical activity of the user on the webpage to current activity of the user on the webpage.

18. The system of claim 14 , wherein the second predetermined content is based on a predetermined relevancy score corresponding to historical consumption data of the user across multiple webpages.
