Abstract

A hydroponic growing apparatus, system, and method is provided. The hydroponic grower includes one or more seed beds each having a length and a width operably supported by a framework. A seed belt is rotatable around each of the one or more seed beds between loading and offloading positions to and from a seed growing position. Seed is discharged onto the seed belt for hydroponically growing a seed atop of the one or more seed beds. Seed growth can be offloaded through the path of a stream of liquid exiting a liquid nozzle for cutting through offloaded seed growth in at least one direction.

one or more liquid dispensers configured at the seed bed for irrigation of the seed atop the unwound portion of the seed belt;

an offloading end of the seed bed disposed adjacent the seed belt roller, wherein seed growth is harvested at the offloading end of the seed bed during movement of the seed belt from the unwound position to the wound position.

2. The hydroponic seed growing system of claim 1 , further comprising:

a seeder motor operably connected to the seeder and the framework to rotate the discharge end of the seeder to an adjacent position to the seed belt for dispensing seed onto the unwound portion of the seed belt.

3. The hydroponic seed growing system of claim 1 , further comprising:

an onloading end of the seed bed disposed adjacent the seed belt roller, wherein seed is dispensed at the onloading end of the seed bed during movement of the seed belt from the wound position to the unwound position.

4. The hydroponic seed growing system of claim 1 , further comprising:

one or more liquid nozzles operably secured to the framework adjacent the seed belt and seed belt roller for discharging liquid onto the seed belt for sanitizing the seed belt during movement of the seed belt from the unwound position to the wound position.

5. The hydroponic seed growing system of claim 1 , further comprising:

a liquid dispenser actuator operably connected to the one or more liquid dispensers for providing movement of the one or more liquid dispensers during irrigation of the unwound portion of the seed belt.

6. The hydroponic seed growing system of claim 1 , wherein the discharge end of the seeder has an opening disposed across the width of the seed bed for evenly dispensing seed across a width of the unwound portion of the seed belt.

7. The hydroponic seed growing system of claim 1 , further comprising:

an offloading plate disposed at the offloading end of the seed bed for supporting seed growth offloaded from the seed bed during movement of the seed belt from the unwound position to the wound position.

8. The hydroponic seed growing system of claim 1 , further comprising:

one or more scraping bars operably attached to and disposed across the width of the framework in scrapping relation to the seed belt during movement of the seed belt between the unwound and wound positions.

9. A hydroponic seed grower for hydroponically growing a variety of seed, comprising:

a framework having a plurality of seed beds, each seed bed disposed across a length and a width of the framework;

a seed belt operable on each of the plurality of seed beds between an unwound position off of a seed belt roller and a wound position onto the seed belt roller for movement of the seed belt to and from a seed growing position;

one or more seed belt motors comprising a loading motor for moving the seed belt from the wound position to the unwound position and an offloading motor for moving the seed belt from the unwound position to the wound position;

one or more liquid dispensers configured at the seed bed for irrigation of the seed atop the seed belt;

a cutter operably disposed adjacent the seed belt for separating offloaded seed growth during movement of the seed belt from the unwound position to the wound position, the cutter having an intake for receiving seed growth from the seed belt and a discharge for dispensing separated portions of seed growth.

10. The hydroponic seed growing apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the seed belt includes a top surface for hydroponically growing a seed atop of the plurality of seed beds and terminal opposing ends, wherein seed is deposited starting proximate one of the terminal ends and terminated proximate the opposite terminal end during movement of the seed belt from the wound position to the unwound position.

11. The hydroponic seed growing apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the seed belt includes a bottom surface operably supported atop of the seed bed, wherein a top surface of the seed belt in the wound position engages a bottom surface of the seed belt for discharging seed growth from the seed bed.

12. The hydroponic seed growing apparatus of claim 9 , further comprising:

a seeder having an intake connected to a seed source and a discharge end for dispensing seed at the seed belt during movement of the seed belt from the wound position to the unwound position.

13. The hydroponic seed growing apparatus of claim 9 , further comprising:

a motor-operated carriage operably attached adjacent the seed belt, the motor-operated carriage configured for transverse movement relative to the framework for receiving offloaded seed growth generally approximating the width of the seed bed, wherein the motor-operated carriage separates the offloaded seed growth into smaller portions.
