Abstract

A clothing management apparatus may include a display and a processor to, based on a state of a garment in an image of the garment, determine a management necessity of the garment, based on the management necessity, determine a management completeness that is expected when the garment is managed according to a management mode among a plurality of management modes, based on the management completeness, generate an expected image of the garment when the garment is managed according to the management mode, and control the display to display the expected image to a user.

Claims (45)

1. A clothes management apparatus comprising:

a memory configured to store an artificial intelligence model trained to identify fabric information of a piece of clothes; and

a processor configured to:

identify fabric information of a piece of clothes in the clothes management apparatus using the artificial intelligence model,

based on the identified fabric information, identify a management mode among a plurality of management modes, and

manage the piece of clothes in the clothes management apparatus based on the identified management mode,

wherein the fabric information includes information on a type of a fiber included in the piece of clothes and a blending ratio of the fiber,

wherein the processor is further configured to identify the management mode by determining a property, among a plurality of properties, of the piece of clothes based on a representative fiber of the piece of clothes in the clothes management apparatus, and

wherein the representative fiber of the piece of clothes is based on the type of the fiber and the blending ratio of the fiber included in the fabric information.

2. The clothes management apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising:

a display; and

wherein the processor is further configured to control the display to display information on the identified management mode.

The clothes management apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to, based on a plurality of pieces of clothes being in the clothes management apparatus, identify two or more management modes corresponding to the plurality of pieces of clothes, and manage the plurality of pieces of clothes based on the identified two or more management modes.

4. The clothes management apparatus of claim 3 , further comprising a display,

wherein the processor is further configured to classify the plurality of pieces of clothes into a plurality of groups in a manner such that clothes corresponding to a same management mode belong to a same group, and control the display to display information on a management mode corresponding to each group of the plurality of groups.

5. A method of controlling a clothes management apparatus, configured to store an artificial intelligence model that is trained to identify fabric information of a piece of clothes, the method comprising:

identifying fabric information of a piece of clothes in the clothes management apparatus using the artificial intelligence model,

based on the identified fabric information, identifying a management mode among a plurality of management modes, and

managing the piece of clothes in the clothes management apparatus based on the identified management mode,

wherein the fabric information includes information on a type of a fiber included in the piece of clothes and a blending ratio of the fiber,

wherein the identifying the management mode comprises identifying the management mode by determining a property, among a plurality of properties, of the piece of clothes based on a representative fiber of the piece of clothes in the clothes management apparatus, and

wherein the representative fiber of the piece of clothes is based on the type of the fiber and the blending ratio of the fiber included in the fabric information.

6. The method of claim 5 , further comprising:

displaying information on the identified management mode.

7. The method of claim 5 , further comprising:

based on a plurality of pieces of clothes being in the clothes management apparatus, identifying two or more management modes corresponding to the plurality of pieces of clothes, and managing the plurality of pieces of clothes based on the identified two or more management modes.

8. The method of claim 7 , further comprising:

classifying the plurality of pieces of clothes into a plurality of groups in a manner such that clothes corresponding to a same management mode belong to a same group; and

displaying information on a management mode corresponding to each group of the plurality of groups.

9. The clothes management apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

identify state information of the piece of clothes in the clothes management apparatus; and

identify the management mode among the plurality of management modes further based on the state information.

The clothes management apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the state information includes information on at least one of a shape of the piece of clothes, a degree of crease of the piece of clothes, an amount of a foreign material on the piece of clothes, or a degree of discoloration of the piece of clothes.

11. The clothes management apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the memory is further configured to store information on an operation of at least one component of the clothes management apparatus in each management mode of the plurality of management modes.

The method of claim 5 , wherein the identifying the management mode comprises identifying the management mode by identifying state information of the piece of clothes in the clothes management apparatus and identifying the management mode among the plurality of management modes further based on the state information.

13. The method of claim 12 , wherein the state information includes information on at least one of a shape of the piece of clothes, a degree of crease of the piece of clothes, an amount of a foreign material on the piece of clothes, or a degree of discoloration of the piece of clothes.

14. The method of claim 5 , further comprising storing, in a memory, information on an operation of at least one component of the clothes management apparatus in each management mode of the plurality of management modes.

The clothes management apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the processor is configured to manage the piece of clothes by identifying, by referring to the memory, the information on the operation of the at least one component according to the identified management mode, and control the operation of the at least one component according to the identified information on the operation of the at least one component.

16. The clothes management apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the processor is configured to control an intensity of the operation of the at least one component according to the identified management mode.

The method of claim 14 , wherein the managing the piece of clothes comprises identifying, by referring to the memory, the information on the operation of the at least one component according to the identified management mode, and controlling the operation of the at least one component according to the identified information on the operation of the at least one component.

18. The method of claim 17 , wherein the controlling the operation of the at least one component comprises controlling an intensity of the operation of the at least one component according to the identified management mode.

19. The clothes management apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the property of the piece of clothes includes whether a special management is required for the representative fiber.

20. The clothes management apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the property of the piece of clothes includes whether the representative fiber has a highest blending ratio among different kinds of fibers included in the fabric information.

21. The method of claim 5 , wherein the property of the piece of clothes includes whether a special management is required for the representative fiber.

22. The method of claim 5 , wherein the property of the piece of clothes includes whether the representative fiber has a highest blending ratio among different kinds of fibers included in the fabric information.
